I Purchased 3 of these locks locally several years ago. They are the best locks for sliding doors I have ever used. I just purchased 3 more from Amazon to put on the doors of my new house. They are easy to install and you know your door is secure when you close the bolts on these.

Great lock. I really like this lock. It was very simple to install. I had no problems at all installing it. Gave me peace of mind while on my vacation.

I don't know why this isn't a more popular item. It seems rare and hard to find, with certain color options no longer being manufactured or sold. But in my opinion, any household with small children should have a deadbolt system like this on the sliding glass door. Despite very poor instructions, it's easy (enough) to install (as long as you are thoughtful enough to figure it out, and don't rush through it), easy to use, and adds considerable security to the door, both for keeping little ones inside, and burglars outside. This is now my second home that I have installed a Cal deadbolt lock onto the sliding door, and I will recommend them to friends! Because the installation instructions are so poor, I will just note that you don't need all the parts to install it. There are different parts for different door configurations. Figure out the parts you need and set the rest aside. There are installation tutorials on YouTube for this product, and for identical products from other companies. If you find installation confusing, consider checking out a video.

Installed on a 7th floor condo? I have used these locks for years installing them on my home, my kids homes, my wife’s customers homes..(she’s a realtor). Recently moved to a condo on the seventh floor put them on all 5 of my sliding glass doors, this time not to keep people out but to keep the little grand kids off the balconies unsupervised. When I recently ordered these there was only 3 locks left so I ordered them, but somehow USPS broke open the package and one lock got lost. This shop owner quickly sent me the replacement lock even though they will probably not get reimbursed by the postal service. Because of their customer service I purchased the 2 remaining locks from this company.

Very useful, easy to install, and seems to make the door much more secure. At least my German Shepherd has not figured this one out yet.
