The Tree of Life is a collection of writings by Chayyim Vital. In these writings, Vital describes the teachings of his master, Isaac Luria, who is one of the most important figures within modern Kabbalah. Much of the Kabbalah today is based on the teachings of Luria. However, Luria wrote very little during his life. Consequently, Vital is considered to be the primary source and chief interpreter of the teachings of Luria. The Tree of Life is considered to be the most authoritative version of Luria’s teachings. The teachings of Luria
This series of books make the teachings of Rav Isaac Luria live in a form that invites learning. The translators have made this material accessible to readers in today's world. Very readable and beautifully organized!

Good translation (best out there)
This is a very good translation of the Tree of Life (etz chaim). I hope, e.colle and h.colle finish the total translation. If anyone knows how to contact these people, pls tell.

(I gave this 3 stars as there is no other way to comment without offering a judgment about the quality of the contents this book.) I've read much of the many pages that Amazon allows us to read online from this book. This book is written by the same authors as "The Creation of the Universe according to the Bible, Kabbalah, Ancient Egyptians, Gnostics, and Hermetic Texts". You may or may not want to learn this very holy text from authors who draw on non-Jewish sources in their discussions of creation. There is another translation of this text by Menzi and Padeh. You might have a look at it too.
