A (mostly) Kids' Guide to Sanibel & Captiva Islands and the Fort Myers Coast

I live in Naples and know very little about Sanibel, Captiva, or Ft. Myers. What a wonderful find this book has turned out to be! Everything and everywhere anyone would possibly ever need or want to know about is covered in this book, in such a fun way! So many great fun facts as well. What a captivating book about Sanibel, Captiva, and Ft. Myers. Definitely not just for kids! It is a must have if you live in this area, or are planning to visit the area!

Very interesting to look through and gave us some good ideas. Some of the places recommended in the bookdid not have good reviews on travel websites though. This is a really fun book to have on hand when vacationing in the area. I especially liked the nature sections because I learned some things as I was reading it to my daughter :)

This is a perfect book for parents who are looking for places to go and activities for their children while they are visiting the area. But it is more than that! It is a fun book for everyone to read and has enjoyable illustrations and photographs to accompany the text. Read it and have fun!

I thought this would be an educational book... but it seems like a advertisement for things to do. Free brochures from the island itself have much of the same info.

Mostly Kids Guides to Sanibel, Captiva and the Ft. Myers Coast made me want to be a kid again! As a child, I explored with my beloved Grandmother Hughes; we would painstakingly dig for Petoskey stones in Michigan; as a result, treasure hunting brought me to the beaches of Sanibel as an adult. Loving to explore and seek out nature and all a particular area has to offer is deeply ingrained in me, and I offer it up to my grandchildren. This fun, colorful, and informative guidebook is a must-have for grandparents and parents that still strive to get their family out and about. Explore Ft. Myers and its islands. You will want to leave playboxes and your living rooms behind!

Such a cute book! Full of photos and drawings. Fun to read for kids with website info to help plan a vacation or take advantage of this beautiful area if you're fortunate to live in SW Florida. It's so evident that the author spent a lot of time putting this together.

If you are visiting the area this is a ' must have guide' if children are with you.......so many amazing things to do and experience , many free of charge! My Grandchildren have the book and love looking through it to find out what fun to have next!
