Anusol Suppositories Review: Classic and best OTC, get optional additional vasoconstrictor - This is a great proven and classic option to treat fissures and hemorrhoids. It contains zinc, bismuth, and balsam. While it is possible to use just diaper rash ointment, it is important to use astringent/protectant. Best of all this combination is available as a suppository. This does help pass easier while allow the healing process. No it is not especially sticky as you might think. It does not linger once colon is emptied. Clean and reapply. It does take some time to shrink the swelling. It is possible to combine this with other treatments, such as vasoconstrictor suppository like prep-h, witch hazel/prep-h wipes, or similar things. One of the most helpful procedure to follow is to use sitz bath with/without salts/hazel, suppository, and some tylenol. The Anusol suppositories would be very helpful in the healing process regardless of other treatments you can add on. I started only a three weeks after initial realization and began with prep-h. It only get easier once I got this. Overall, I had to get this online as local stores did not have it. Glad I could. Online it was also unclear of the ingredients but I knew it has zinc. The suppositories should be stored at or below room temperature for use. The bullet is easy to administer with tiny bit of lotion at the tip (or you can use any other lube). The instructions are included in the box. Be careful opening the bullet as the plastic wrap, pulling little bit each side at a time. Note that this does not have lidocaine or phenylephrine. It works as intended and is effective based on a specific function. Review: Thank goodness I discovered these wonderful suppositories!! - This is the best product of this nature I have ever tried. It works well by coating your bowel movement and making it much easier to pass. If that's TMI oh well there's no other way to put it!! FYI they melt in your hands very quickly and make a huge mess. I live in Florida so the warmer it is the quicker this happens. I think I should be keeping them in the refrigerator especially during the summer. Also you should note it's very difficult to open the packaging to get the suppositories out. It's like you have to be Superman to peel open those plastic tabs! I often need a pair of scissors to do it. I would never go back to the type of products we have in the US, this is so worth the money. It's made my daily life much better, also eat prunes. Those two things combined make me feel normal again!!

Works
This stuff works! Easy to open packet, easy to use. Not a pleasant topic but even cleared up small bleed. I had to have surgery before so don’t feel like going that route again if I can help it. Don’t panic if poop has whitish coating, it’s the zinc. Perfectly ok.

Great product
Recommended by my doctor and it truly worked and helped. Very quickly I might add.

Great shape for application but packaging sucks
Like the product, BUT hate the packaging. Individual suppositories need a jack hammer to get them open. Short little stumpy tabs that are difficult to get hold of and glued so tight you want to get a hammer and chisel to open, all while sitting on the toilet cussing at them. There must be a better way to encapsulate them that us over 65’s can get open conveniently. Back to the drawing board!

It’s ok so far…
I rate this a 3 star simply because how fast it melts away at your finger tips. I bought this product based on the great reviews I’ve seen. I am a 2 weeks postpartum mom who started having discomfort with hemorrhoids a few days after delivering my child. The pain has been extreme, with constant spasms and it’s a miserable feeling. This product did help decrease the amount of spasms I was having, it didn’t fully take away the pain but it did help a little bit. I would say this product is better than preparation H as preparation H doesn’t take away any of the pain whatsoever and doesn’t help decrease any spasms. I’ve only had this product for a couple of days, I am hoping this gets resolved here soon.
