Leg weights. Easy on and off and customizable weight.
These are nice. I mean, if having this wrapped around your ankle sounds fun that is. LOL. I like that they are adjustable. The weights have removable packs so you can make them lighter or heavier depending on your requirements. Not too hard to put on or take off with Velcro sort of straps.

Hefty ankle weights, low price, great for dead hang.
(Review of "CAP Barbell HHA-CB020A1 20-Pound Pair Adjustable Ankle Weights, Black") This product is as advertised. My scale weighs shows 20.2 pounds. I paid $19.99 before tax. Other brands were showing at least $60 for this weight. I use these for dead hang on my pull-up bar. So, they provide an extra stretch for every joint on my body, from head to ankles. I have hips osteoarthritis, and my main goal is to loosen up my hip joints. There are not many exercises to do that, but my use here achieves my goal directly. If it works well to relieve hip pain in the long term, I will make a Youtube series about this discovery. These weights are 10 clumsy pounds on each leg (20 pounds total). That means they are like cumbersome boots around your ankles. Be mindful of your planned activity. I will not attempt to run in these monstrosities, but dead hang from a pull-up bar is a perfect use case. I currently have no need to go lighter. So, I have not tried adjusting the weights, but I see it's possible with the zipper and 5 pouches on each leg. That means each pouch is 2 pounds.

BE GENTLE!
BE NICE TO PRODUCT WHEN PUTTING ON. Weak plastic strap points. Opened as soon as they arrived, awesome product, has a zipper on top to keep the adjustable weight bags inside the unit, which is way nicer than a velcro (hook and loop strap). That being said, I was excited to get them on, and the very first strap I went to put on, and the plastic "loop" to run it through, instantly broke. Giving 4 stars because this, overall, seems like a very well built product, and the fact that you are able to take out 2 lbs increments to acclimate to the heavier weight (if you want) is a very nice option. But the fact that the plastic parts are so weak that they broke on first use, means no 5 stars for sure. Also, I was definitely being a little over zealous with my application, and pulled the strap pretty hard, causing the break. So as a cautionary note, take your time putting them on, and they should last just fine. Will update if the rest of the plastic breaks from normal wearing.

Fantastic!
These ankle weights are an incredible find for the price. I just broke one of the buckles on my other pair which is also 10 lbs and needed a replacement but most of them are at least triple the price. The material feels a little cheap and they feel lighter than my other pair. I have not weighed them to compare, but I didn’t feel the burn with these after my exercises that I normally feel. The weighted bags are in open pockets, this makes it really easy to adjust the weight, but also means they can slip out when doing floor exercises. The strap is big and really comfortable, I typically wear long socks and did not feel any discomfort, even when moving around. They stayed on my feet through 30 minutes of leg/glute exercises and 20 minutes of walking. I tested with jumping jacks and they stayed in place, the strap stayed on, and they did not hurt my legs.

Would buy again
These were just what I was looking for at a good price. Easy to use, seems to be well made, the weight bags are easy to remove so you can start out with a lesser weight and move up. They are hard to wear during workouts.

Pro: Comes in 20 Pound Sets, Cons: Bulky, Uncomfortable, Slow to Put on/Change weight, Chafes
Summary: They are good if you don't want to swap out weights or put these on/take them off quickly mid-workout. You will also need to find additional padding like a sock, if you want comfort. The Pros: 1. Price. 2. They come in 20 pound sets. The Cons: 1. The sand they use is bulky, so the overall size is larger than they need to be. 2. This size and lack of padding makes these uncomfortable to wear. They pinch against the shin bone. The strap is threaded through a plastic loop that does not stay vertical to the strap and when it slips the ankle weights become loose and even more uncomfortable. 3. The dual straps with the need to thread it through this plastic loop takes twice as long to put on/take off as it needs to. The sandbags cannot be quickly added or removed because there is a single zipper that goes all along the top and cannot be slid in easily while wearing them. 4. Because of the loops that do not stay put in the straps, when they become loose this begins to chafe your skin. You can add additional padding like a sock to help with this, but I have two other brands of ankle weights that are comfortable without the need for additional padding. I have bought two other brands of very comfortable padded ankle weights that have a convenient single velcro strap making them super easy to put on/take off. They also have convenient pouches for removing or adding weight on the fly and on one of them the weights are solid iron bars instead of sand reducing the bulk and improving comfort. Bottom line: shop around and look for ones that say they are padded and have a large single velcro strap.

Simple, large, effective.
Reviews for this class of weight can be silly, including categories such as "most stylish". This product is not. It also includes far more weight than anything else I could find. The product is simple. Two holders, each with one large zipper that closes up five pouches, and two long velcro closures. Each pouch has a two pound plastic bag of sand which can be individually removed for any combination desired of weights distributed around the holder. Using the zipper is only required when changing the weight. Normal use does not require opening it. The holder is robust and completely surrounds the sandbags, which appear fragile and need to be handled carefully when not in the holder. Inside with the zipper closed, they seem to be in no danger at all. Donning and doffing is simple. Wrap the product around your ankle above your boot, thread the velcro through the buckle and secure. The velcro is plenty long enough to accommodate from zero to all five sandbags included. Doffing can take some work to peel off the velcro, which is extremely strong. Everything is black so finding the end of the velcro strap takes a moment. I am 77" tall and the product fits around my ankles with plenty of room to spare. I currently use only two pouches per leg so there is considerable free velcro length. I do not anticipate any issues with all five installed. With considerably smaller individuals, the product will wrap around more and the velcro goes all the way around so there should be no issues. I wear knee high socks and have no issues with comfort. The product has no sharp edges or exposed velcro on the inside but I would not recommend use on bare skin. Full height hiking boots work great, I do not know how trail running or other low shoes would handle something of this size and weight. Four pounds per leg makes a very substantial difference in effort in my morning walks. Getting to the full ten will be very marked and provide great benefit. Recommended.

Don't buy!!!
I purchased the CAP Barbell Adjustable Ankle Weights with high hopes for my home workouts, but the experience has been incredibly disappointing. While the concept of adjustable weights is great for progressive training, the execution and durability of this specific set are major letdowns. Quality and Durability Issues The primary reason for this one-star review is the very poor quality of the materials. I am not an extreme athlete; I used these for standard walking and light leg lifts. Despite this moderate use, the fabric tore completely after only 2 weeks. Once the outer casing ripped, the weight packets began to shift and eventually slide out, making them impossible to wear safely. For a product designed to handle "heavy-duty" resistance, the stitching and nylon used here are clearly not up to the task. Design Flaws In addition to the tearing, the overall build feels flimsy. Even before they fell apart, the Velcro straps struggled to hold the full 10lbs per ankle securely. They frequently shifted during movement, which is both distracting and a potential injury risk. Final Verdict: Do not be fooled by the recognizable brand name. These weights are poorly constructed and failed within a fortnight of regular use. If you are looking for equipment that lasts longer than a few workout sessions, I strongly recommend investing in a more durable brand. Save your money and skip these.

simple, but good quality
does what it claims to do, even though it might be more simple than other more fancy options. good quality
