Square Deal.
Really going to be a handy stair layout tool. Needed to watch a video to figure out how to set it up.Should work much faster than layout with a rafter square. Cool stuff.

Big square = saving time!
If you need a BIG speed square, this is the ONE!Seriously, having a larger square can save you time marking wider dimensional lumber. No extra step of flipping, lining up, & marking. Seems trivial but time-saver on larger projects.Great item for the price, too.

What can you say that hasn't been said about the tried and true Swanson Square. I loved this square until a coworker ate it with a bean saw. He will be replacing it with the same model.Setting it up to cut stringers is not as simple as it may seem, but once you get the hang of it, stairs become a breeze. To be honest, I still prefer an L shaped square with screw on guides for laying out stair stringers.I purchased a 12" aluminum square at a local hardware store that is black with white numbering for a higher contrast and easier to read values, but I still prefer my old Swanson Square.

Weapon of Choice for big stuff
Great quality square as one would expect from Swanson. This item shipped quickly, was packaged well and is exactly as described. I use this for stair lay out, framing, squaring up cabinets and sometimes I use it by placing the flat edge against a piece and hammering the other end to drive parts into place and it has taken the beating I give it.

Squadrona affidabile, versatile e sufficientemente precisa
