My daughter is a natural ginger but lately her hair seems like its dull. Would this brighten it back up and nourish it okay?

In my experience, yes!!! I have naturally curly red hair that i also apply color (got some grays to cover). Overtone Color conditioner a couple times per month and my curls stay shiny and happy! I alternate between rose gold and ginger for my color maintenance. Good luck!

What's the difference between this and the overtone color depositing conditioner in the jar?

They are both semi permanent color depositing conditioners. The jar is a more intensive conditioner. Color depositing is the same. Neither one is a dye. They don't dye your hair. They just put color on top of it, which is why it washes out.

Does it contain silicone?

I do not see silicone listed in the ingredients.

Will the ginger cover faded dyed red hair?

It helped revitalize my faded red and gave it a more orange tone.
