What is the differance between model GFK 160 and a GFK 160A . Will this motor work on a Heat N Glo model ST42TVFL ?

Not sure?? I installed mine into a "vermont Casting" this required about an hours worth of "re-enginering" fits and works perfect and now has a ball bearing motor over a sleeve style motor. I needed to rotate the blower housings on the main frame to provide the needed clearance for the motor winding to be in the correct location, its a rectangular motor winding.

I have a heat n glow 6000tr oak. i don’t have the 4.5” clearance needed to install this, even if i remove the bottom flap. do i really need 4.5”?

You can get away with only 4.25" if you remove the rubber feet before slipping the blower through the front opening. Once inside, the rubber feet can be re-attached. If you have less than 4.25", you can use the GFK4 blower kit as a backup. Regards, Jason

We have a firelogs purchased in 1991.appears model # is a1240m/hw40m and we are trying to locate a blower for the logs.could you be of assistance?

If you have an enclosed firebox with fresh air intake on bottom and a location below the box for the fan it may work. My model is a 2017 and was built for adding a fan on. It is a firebox designed for air to flow from bottom cavity to back cavity and then out the top. The blower definitely adds more heat to the room. Gas logs i am not sure this will work.

Will this blower work for a heat n glo model SL-7

Yes, the SL-7 series models all use the GFK-160! Regards, Jason
