Does it have Manitol?

There are only 3 ingredients listed on the package: Alpha-galactosidase enzyme; cellulose; and gelatin (the capsule).

Why are these tablets and no longer capsules?

The capsules are have been phased out and only tablets are available now. The tablets have the advantage of being smaller, being vegan, and dissolving much faster in your stomach than the capsules, thus allowing the enzyme to go to work sooner. The tablets are also 33% stronger than the capsules (tablets are 400GALU/tab -same as Beano Ultra 800- capsules are 300 GALU/cap) for the same price as the old capsules. Regards, Erica

Does anyone know if this will eliminate against the horrific ab pain and cramping that accompanies Cauliflower?

If the ab pain and cramping you experience comes from the gas caused by cauliflower, YES, it will help. Just make sure you take enough for the amount of gassy foods your meal contains. I suggest 2 tablets for EACH SERVING of gassy food (i.e. 1 cup of chopped cauliflower = 1 serving, 1/2 cup of beans = 1 serving. If you eat 1 cup of cauliflower and 1 cup of beans = 2 servings of beans, I suggest taking 5-6 tablets) This formula works for me every time. I rarely take less than 3 tablets. Having said that, this new tablet formula has 100 GALU more than the previous capsules, so you can probably take a little less. You may still pass a little air but it will be significantly less and I never experience bloating and cramping when I take my Bean-zyme.
