pond boss PRO Floating Fountain with Lights, 1/2 hp, 5000 GPH pump

For the first time, the pump did what it was supposed to a nice spray. We have a lot of algae so it did clog up, But cleaned it up and the motor didn't freeze up and burn up. Definitely would buy this product again. Few issues with the lites yet.

It was easy to install. I would’ve liked the fountain part to spray more water.

I bought this in Oct 2017 and purchased the 3 year extended warranty. It ran fine for 6 months and then the pump stopped working. I thought something jammed it , but I couldn't see anything. I called the manufacturer Oase and they helped me trouble shoot it. The pump is magnetically coupled to the motor which prevents debris from damaging the motor. This is a very smart design. They sent me a new impeller, but that didn't fix the problem so they sent me a return paid shipping label and I received a replacement unit in 2 weeks. This replacement has been running 12 hours a day for over a year without any problems. I love the led lights at night. With the service from Oase, you can't go wrong.

Stopped working 2 months after bought. Lights never worked. Tried returning but told to contact manufacturer. It’s in Germany and impossible to contact so stuck with $700 pond fountain that does not work.

Pump works fine, doesn’t shoot as high as advertised though. Very cheap feel in your hands also. The lights worked for about two weeks and no longer work. I used dielectric grease in the fittings to ensure waterproof connection. When I reached out to the company for replacement they never responded.

I did quite a bit of research to find a fountain for my pond. I am delighted with how the pond boss works, it's better than I thought. Although having it light up was not a concern when I was researching fountains, I'm sure glad that it does. It is beautiful to see in the dark. It's like a moving sculpture! I've got it on a timer so it doesn't run 24/7.

Like other reviews, our lights stopped working after about 3/4 weeks. The good news is that I have received prompt replies to email requests (unlike other reviews). The bad news is that the lights continue to be "backordered".....for over 4 weeks. Obviously, there is a problem with the set-up of the lighting.....let's hope it gets fixed. I do like the fountain! **Update (9/28).....finally received replacement lights about 2 weeks ago. However, it's time to pull the fountain for the winter. Won't know until next spring whether the replacement lights work.

Amazing little unit, spray size and height exceeded my expectations. Nice to have 3 nozzles to choose from. My pond has a lot of algae which clogs the nozzles frequently. I have to clean the nozzles on a daily basis. The LED lights are nice as well. Very quite pump, easy installation.

I have had the 1/4hp pond boss fountain in my fairly large pond for two years. Loved it and it has been trouble free. Decided to add a second and bought this 1/2 hp Pond boss. Very disappointed. It had a humming sound developing after a month. Cleaning everything did not help. Then the light stopped working. I unplugged it and the next day it started working. Now that the return window has passed, the hum has gotten very loud and the light stopped again. Guess I got, and am stuck with, a lemon. I do not recommend.
