Let's get real, I had a Rubik's Magic Snake as a kid. This is just like that. And eventually it is going to break. The bonus challenge is fuguring out how to use the little tiny screwdriver and micro screws to fix it. The size is great and provides extra challenge to build with it, making it a better purchase when you want the challenge. If not, try the medium or smaller sizes. This is the toy that a friend visiting your kids will break, so keep the visitors with limited in access, or let them start out with the small size. This large snake toy makes a terrific gift for any age with nimble fingers, even elderly if they don't have arthritis.

It’s a hit! Spouse and I each have our “original” snake from childhood, but when I saw this longer one I took a chance and purchased it. Glad I did! It is a good bit longer, so we’ve made it into all sorts of shapes. The joints move fine, a little stiffer and a little noisier than, say, a Rubix cube, so I wouldn’t recommend using it in church or classroom, but it is a fun fidget and brain toy. Made a coiled cobra, almost three spheres, a Star Wars speeder, etc., with it. Great addition to our fidget shelf: guests immediately picked it up and started playing with it. It is large enough for aging hands to use as well as children, so Grandma can play, too. We’ve had it a couple weeks now and it hasn’t broken, which suggests it’s pretty durable. Travels well, but it is big: a little bigger/thicker than a Kindle or tablet. Great for car or plane rides because all the pieces are attached and meant to remain attached, so no little bits to lose in transit. Please notice this is too large for a small purse or large pocket but works in a backpack or satchel. Caution that the plastic is hard, so a kid could make it into a long blunt weapon, so consider the user and whether they are more interested in arranging the toy into imaginary shapes or whopping a bystander. We found it’s kind of like balloon animals but with only one balloon and it’s jointed plastic. I digress. Great gift for the love of my life who likes puzzles and fidgets—this is both! Plus a bit of sentiment from the past, as a bigger version of our childhood toys, as an added bonus.

I used to love the origin rubiks. Saw online 9 cool and challenging puzzle with 72 pieces. Essentially 3 of them combined. This bad boy I purchased. Figured out each shape a day at a time and left it on the kitchen table for family to comment each day when they woke up. It was sad day 10 when there were no more shapes to figure out or for them to enjoy in the morning.

Great for creativity and coronation.

I used to have a smaller version of this back in the '80's which I am not sure where that snake went. This is much longer but still has the same sized panels as that one did. I think because of the length, it makes it a bit more challenging. My son has been playing with it almost daily since we bought it and trying to see what kinds of objects he can create. So far there has been lots of them and I am sure there will be lots more.

Pieces fit too loose. Not like the 1 from the 90's.
