Kidizoom Action Cam 180

We are very happy with this kids camera. My daughter is 6 and loves going on adventures and taking pictures. This winter she is going to be going on a big trip and we wanted something she could bring with. Went ahead and got this now because then she is use to it and if it was going to have problems we would know. The picture resolution isn't the best, but it's better than my old cell phone did. :D My daughter is VERY happy with it. She can go in and delete pictures she didn't like right away, knows how to add frames to the pictures already, and enjoys flipping through what shes taken. Wasn't too fond of the games, but we didn't get it for the games anyways. She is still getting use to not moving a ton while she takes pictures, but has already filled up the storage once a day. (Yup, about 600 pictures a day for the last few days) transfering them to my computer was super easy, and was able to delete them from the camera right after I transfered them. We haven't tried the waterproof case yet so if we have trouble with it later on I will update. I have absolutely no complaints with this camera. It is very kid friendly and I can't wait to see what she does with it from here on out. I've attached a few pictures my daughter took so you can see the quality of the pics. One of them is blurry, this is because she couldn't stop jumping while taking it. (She is autistic and holding still can be a challenge, but this is helping her learn to do so!)

Best purchase ever! Ideal for children 3 - 9 years old. I got one for my daughter when she because she always wanted my phone to take pictures. She constantly uses her camera now, so I got this one for my son. He loves it! Great camera for little kids. The quality is not the greatest unless you stand still, but for young kids this is perfect. They love making movies and taking pictures. They also like the games. I have them take these cameras along when we travel. They take pictures in the pool (most definitely water proof!), and when looking around parks. It is also a great way to interest kids in museums, taking hikes, and going to gardens. They love taking their own pictures. I can then download them to my computer and delete the pictures off the camera so they can take more.

This camera actually has some fun features. For my 4 year olds it was a good choice in the sense that it isn’t fragile and it does take pictures and videos. However, I quickly became very frustrated by the games which turned out to be the only thing my kids wanted to use after they discovered it. There is no way to disable the games. We try to avoid screen time. I was going to return them but my kids were devastated, so I relented and even bought sd cards so the memory wouldn’t fill up so fast. Today we used them in the pool for the first time and the “waterproof” cases immediately filled with water. If I’d been smart I would have tried it empty in the sink first. Neither camera is working now. Im outside the return window ☹️ I have not yet checked to see if there’s a way to contact the manufacturer directly. Edit: I’m upgrading this to four stars because I believe in being fair and actually I was a moron and left the cords on when I put the cameras in the cases. Do not do this!!!!!!!!

Great camera! I bought it for my 4 1/2 years old, but all the other kids (11, 8, and 2) all love it and use it when they can. I think it’s a great starter camera, especially for active kids since it has the weather proof case. What made the 11 yr old like it is because he can attach it to his bike, skate board, etc as well as swim with it. And if he drops it it doesn’t immediately break. A couple of my favorite parts.... it has a wall charger (no batteries yay!), and it can do selfies or take straight ahead pictures. I highly recommend as a starter camera or for active kids, but if you have an avid photographer on your hands just opt up for something with higher pixels and skip this one.

My grandson is a selfie guru so when I saw this Kidizoom Action Cam 180 by VTech, i knew it was just the camera for him and he loved his Christmas gift. It is easy to use and the case that came with it makes it virtually as tough as any camera could be. After a few months I was given the camera back and told it didn't work. I was on the wall about contacting VTech because of the reviews. I have a lot of VTech toys and never had a problem with any of them. You see it is important to me that my grandson explore the things that make him happy, at the age of 3 he is very smart and catches on fast. He is my life's joy and he has also had 2 open heart surgeries, so far. I had already tried every trouble shooting instruction I could find begore I wrote Vtech to tell them about the camera. I really must say, don't believe everything you read. Vtech was very helpfully and in a few weeks my grandson is back at taking pictures, oh, and together he learned how to take video. I really must get my hands on his sd card!

After less than a month of use, this product stopped turning on. The camera's screen comes on and indicates that it has a full charge when it is plugged into a computer; however, it is not responsive when the Home button is pushed to turn it on. The screen works fine and the battery is fully charged. I do not understand why this product is not powering on even after following the instructions regarding switching the master switch on and off. It appears to be a common problem with this product. After contact with VTech customer support, they indicated that the product was inoperable but since it was out of the 90-day warranty, it would not be replaced. It was purchased on 10/6/17, however, it was a Christmas gift and was not removed from the manufacturer packaging until 12/25/17. This product did not even last a single month under regular use. My daughter had not even used it outside or with a single accessory. This is a big disappointment, not only to me, but my entire family. I am in disbelief that VTech products are built so poorly. We loved this camera while it lasted. It's a great concept for a kid's toy, but I would not recommend anyone purchase this. Less than a month of regular use....! Unfortunately for me, I purchase gifts way too early, otherwise I would've gotten a replacement and one more month of use...

This is a great kid-proof camera. My six year old got this for Christmas. I wish I had known that it has games on it. Now all she wants to do is play the games instead of actually taking pictures. Disappointed.

My 4 year old son hasn't stopped playing with this since we bought it months ago. The battery lasts a long time and so far he hasn't broken it, though he has dropped it on more than one occasion, so it seems pretty durable. The pictures are very poor quality, so probably not even worth printing (I haven't tried), but it doesn't stop him from having a great time taking pictures and making "movies". I kind of wish they hadn't put games on it, really he's 4, he doesn't need to play video games, but I will say he does like them on the occasions we let him play them. Also we did try the waterproof case in shallow water and it didn't leak and the bike attachment was easy to add to his bike.

This was a gift for my 6 yr old. Truthfully, I was a little skeptical buying this. I needed have been. The quality is great. It is easy to operate for her. The video and photo quality are good particularly considering the price. Special features work well. Overall a good purchase.

J'ai acheté cet appareil photo pour mon petit de 5 ans. Il prend des photos, filme. L'objectif se déplace pour capturer l'image devant ou derrière la caméra... L'étui hydrofuge permet à l'enfant de l'utiliser dans l'eau, sous la pluie ou la neige... Et en plus, on peut jouer à de petits jeux dessus !

Good camera for little kids. Picture quality isn’t the greatest and there isn’t a lot of memory. I will need to buy memory card for it. Good for the price.

Great camera! My toddler loves it and has dropped a couple of times but due to the protective casing it remains unscathed. He loves taking pictures and the selfie option. Great gift idea.
