Ateco 3124 Plastic Coated Canvas Decorating Bag, 24-Inch, Reusable, Made in USA

This is a great bag... BUT IT IS TWO FEET LONG!!! Do not be buying this if you need to decorate a few cupcakes. This is an industrial size bag for LARGE scale production. If you are decorating the occasional cupcake you need a 12" bag. If you are making eclairs or something maybe an 18" would suit you better. In any case these Ateco bags are sturdy, and clean up nicely due to the coating. I have multiple 12s for icing, and use the 18 for piping chop paste and dumpling/pasta fillings.

This bag is super big. It’s works well for my cookie needs. Smaller is better for icing needs.

In love with this pipping bag! Although the dimensions are in the description, I didn't realize how big it was until I received it...It was huge. The bag itself felt like it was made of light soft canvas and coated on the inside for durability and waterproof-ness. It easily held about 4 batches of cream puffs with room to spare, and it felt like I was dumping the pastry batter into a trash bag because of its size. Very easy to handle, although you might what to go easy on filling it up because it will obviously get heavy. And of course the important thing: it's easy to clean because of the coating on the inside.

I purchased three of these in 24" to use at work. I am a cake decorator and use these daily to ice our best selling cakes in a very light whipped icing. The icing we use is not stiff by any means, so the bag gets a lot of use but we're not beating it up. In 1 month, we went through all three bags. In each bag, we first noticed that the outside of the bag was becoming wet and slimy. We realized that the plastic lining was cracking and breaking down and the icing was seeping through the canvas. This is not only inconvenient but it is also a food service nightmare. The bits of plastic were just flaking off. I also own a custom cake studio in addition to working in a retail bakery, so I am very familiar with Ateco products. I have never had an issue with ANY of them until now. I absolutely cannot recommend these bags. Once the plastic lining broke down, the seams broke on each bag shortly thereafter. Now I'm off to search for another bag this size, with a sturdy liner, and a small tip opening.
