**Update 2015** My son is now almost 18 months old and loves this mobile. Every night before bed he says "Boats! Boats!" and I spin them and bob them, and he watches them while falling sleep. All my other friends had the plastic mobiles that had to be taken away due to their children pulling them off the crib, but I like the fact that we can still have the mobile hanging and that our son still enjoys it. As noted below, it's such a beautiful piece in the room, and when he gets older we will just move it to the corner of the room so that it can still be nautical and hang as a decorative piece, but no longer a mobile. :) Very happy with purchase! This mobile is gorgeous!!!!!!! It looks exactly like the picture! The boats are beautiful, wooden- hand painted- with a cloth sail. They are BIG as well! Not tiny at all. The way they are on the mobile also allows them to bob and spin in the air, so it looks like they are ridding invisible waves. We did a nautical theme for the nursery, so these were perfect! They are honestly my favorite thing in the whole room- they are quite a statement piece!! :)

As you can clearly see, the Flight Mobile looks great in the reading station, especially with my added red Sun Art-Glass. Actually, the Sun is necessary to complete the presentation, for it gives the planes purpose, as far as narrative goes. Of course the art disc is not attached to the mobile, for it is relatively heavy, considering the chief supporting string is no nanotechnology, nor is it made of strong silk. The thread is probably made of polyester-cotton blend, at best. This is definitely an indoor decor with very slow air current in the room, only if you wish to keep the strings intact for a long time, right? The height of my station's ceiling from the ground is eight feet, and it does not bump my head. With my set up, the bottom of the green plane reaches down to 22.5 inches. Keep in mind, my set up is very close to the ceiling, about a 1 2/3 inch to the ceiling. Planes are mostly made of wood, including the spinners. The wheels are made of plastic. I did not "over check" the other parts, just in case they snap in two. Nevertheless, the planes seem quite solid and strong, not cheap, but one should never push it. The colors are excellent without looking childish. Ignore the plastic-like, overly glossy, Amazon generic-photos, these planes look better in person, especially if you love that retro-look. The mobile is something for everyone to collect, or show off.

Absolutely a perfect and beautifully crafted mobile - but I want to give raves to the seller. I ordered this marvelous mobile on Tuesday morning, and included a request to the seller. I told them that I would appreciate it if they could hurry the delivery along, so that I could take it to my new great grandson on Sunday. It was important to me, because my grandson (the baby's father), is an air traffic controller, and he has loved all things relating to aviation since he was a boy.I wanted to bring this darling, unique gift to not only please the new baby and his mother, but his father as well. I want you to know that this seller had it in my hands on Thursday afternoon - two days from the time I ordered it - and this wasn't a "Prime" sale. So, for more reasons than one, I love the mobile, and I am deeply grateful to a very customer pleasing seller! A prospective buyer can be assured that they will receive a lovely item, as well as top-notch service!

The planes are what drives the cost of this mobile. They are heavy, with lots of details, the colors are wonderful and they look great! The thing that drove me crazy is that they are hung with brown thread - it looks like sewing thread actually - onto very thin metal rods (think more like a metal skewer, only thinner!) This made hanging it tedious with my big clumsy fingers. The planes kept slipping off the ends of the rods since there is nothing holding the thread on. Eventually I got the mobile hung in our upcoming sons nursery. When I stood back and looked at my hard work, I was once again happy with my purchase! It looks great!

This mobile is so beautfully done - fine craftmanship! Worth every penny!

We ordered this for our son's nursery when he was 2 months old due to the fact that as soon as we brought him home, he was fixated on our ceiling fan's throughout the house so we went to the internet and started searching for mobiles. We instantly fell in love with the idea to get airplanes as they are interesting and can grow with age and we fell on this one. This is a great product for a wonderful price. We were anxious to receive them and they were delivered quickly and VERY well packaged which is important to me. We hung them over his changing table and he is enthralled by them. If he is ever upset, we can simply lay him on his changing table and spin them and he instantly perks up. They are a larger size than I initially expected (about 5" long with a 7" wingspan) and it was a happy surprise. They are made of solid wood which is nice to see instead of the cheap plastic and have held up vey well for the 6 months we have had them, even with the occasional crash into the wall when being spun to vigorously. ;) Hope his helps!

The planes look nice, about 5 inches long; I also like the idea of the mobile. There is minimal work done at the factory in order to make it an easy and stable hang though. It took two of us about an hour and a few tricks to hang the mobile and make sure the planes do not slip from either side of the bars. One of the planes dropped during the process of hanging and got broken. We ended up taping over the strings to make them stay in place and using wire instead of the string for the longer connections. Overall I love the looks of the mobile but not happy with the quality and engineering.

Schönes Mobile. Wir wollten eigentlich das Planeten-Mobile des gleichen Herstellers, waren aber sehr enttäuscht von dessen Qualität. Das hier ist viel besser, toll verarbeitet, schöne Materialien. Die Größe ist okay, ich hätte es gern etwas größer gehabt. Die Boote könnten etwas unterschiedlicher sein, es sind vier gleiche, nur mit jeweils einem anderen Farbstreifen. Da aber unsere erste Wahl (Planeten) so enttäuschend war, haben wir dieses aufgehängt und es nicht bereut. Den Preis finde ich angemessen für die Qualität.
