I have the worst time staying asleep so I finally decided to give melatonin a real shot and I am glad I did. The time release formula makes a noticeable difference because I am not waking up randomly at 3am anymore like I used to. I also do not feel groggy in the morning at all which was my biggest concern going into it. Getting two full bottles at this price point is a really solid deal and I will definitely keep buying these.

First, this is a great bargain. I received two 100-tablet bottles for less than what I normally pay at CVS for one. My original problem was the ability to get to sleep, but not stay asleep. Melatonin keeps the number of awakenings during the night to a minimum compared to not taking it. Also I have never had any drugged feeling upon awakening after its use. I would recommend trying one of the 5 mg tabs first. Take 60-90 minutes before bedtime. You won't feel tired or "high" as you might feel with Valium. In fact I don't feel anything. My sleep onset is just quicker and middle-of-the-night awakenings less. After two years, I needed 10 mg to maintain the same effect. Give melatonin a try as a natural sleep aid before going to prescription sleep drugs. I do understand that some folks don't get any relief, and I myself was skeptical but have been pleasantly surprised by how effective they have been. Incidentally, due to odd work hour requirements, I'm in bed by 6 pm, usually asleep by 6:15 and feel refreshed when I wake up naturally at about 3 am. This is a great product at a good price. Highly recommended.

This Natrol brand of Melatonin works just as it should and the price here for multiple bottles is amazing. The thing to know when using (any brand) of Melatonin is that it is NOT supposed to work immediately like a sleeping pill. Melatonin needs to be taken regularly and build up in your system, naturally regulating your levels and returning you to a normal sleep pattern. Do not expect to take one pill one night and have it put you to sleep - especially just a 5mg dosage. 5mg is rather low and most if not all will need a higher dosage (generally 8mg). It may take a week of regular everyday dosing, or it may take a few weeks. It is different for everyone, but the most important thing to remember is to take it EVERY day at the same time and do not expect it to knock you out on the first day or two.

I always use Natrol brand. Over the years it's just the one that I found consistent. This is the first time I purchased the Time Released version. I usually buy dissolving 5mg pills, and my whole family uses them My mom loved them, it was her evening treat before bed bc it was raspberry or strawberry flavored and she'd say "Mmmmm...so good" each time. This version works for me as I do sleep longer, but not 8 or more hours. I tend to wake up after 5-6 hours. If I'm having more problems I'll then take Valerian Root with it or if I wake up in the early morning hours, often w. a cpl Benadryl too. For convenience I'd say the dissolvable type as you can take it in bed and it is gone in no time. This needs water, but does work to keep me sleeping longer than the non-time release.
