Most Excellent Router! Even better now after correcting my IP's Poorly Trained Tech's Mistake.
Update: 3.9.35 My previous review of the NETGEAR Nighthawk RAXE 300 was not as accurate as it should have been to properly exhibit its awesome ability to blast Wi-Fi signals as they were meant to be. Unfortunately, my internet provider, provided me with a modem that was not the right one for my setup as explained to me by a recent service technician coming to my house for a different problem. Apparently, the modem I had at the time was wasting a significant amount of my bandwidth. He switched it out with the right one and I retested the wireless speeds with the Oolkla Internet Speed Test app. Now, it turns out my speeds are consistently in the 900's (see inset picture) instead of the low 700's (see the earlier posted inset picture compliments of my previously poorly trained IP tech). (My modem is a 1Gig download and 20 Mbps upload.) Since using the right modem, the NETGEAR RAXE 300, has no problem broadcasting and maintaining the faster speeds. There's no signal drop, just solid WIFI. I'm using the RAXE300 as an access point and it is connected to a NETGEAR RAXE600 with 100 feet of CAT 6 Ethernet cable and to now be getting almost maximum modem speeds at that distance is a tremendous tribute to NETGEAR's engineering. My highest recommendations are for this NETGEAR RAXE300 Router for reasonable cost, excellent design and unbelievable consistent range and speeds. A while back I had purchased a NETGEAR Nighthawk RAXE500 router because I couldn't get decent speeds at the other end of the house where I spend the majority of my time with previous routers and had even tried an extender without much improvement. Still not satisfied with the modest improvement with the RAXE500 because of too many barriers throughout the house, I made the decision to buy this NETGEAR RAXE300 and set it up as an Access Point after running one hundred feet of CAT 6e ethernet cable to connect the two. I called NETGEAR Tech Support just to make sure I had a clean install from the beginning and I'm really glad I did, they were excellent to work with and what was once only a dream, now is a reality because as you can see by the inset picture, I'm getting a solid 700 plus Wi-Fi download speeds from my 1 Gbps download, 20 Gbps upload modem at the other end of the house. The router was simple to set up, no hiccups from start to finish. I get consistent speeds all day long and the app you can download for your phone makes it easy to log on from anywhere to check on it or make changes. The router itself is a very cool looking piece of electronic wizardry and has 6 strategically placed antennas placed throughout the wings. I give this NETGEAR RAXE300 5 Stars for cool design, consistency of speeds, ease of setup and cost to emotional value.

Solid purchase
I recently purchased this Nighthawk router, and it’s brilliant. It’s very easy to set up, decent value for the money, and the functionality is great. It provides stable coverage with good signal strength throughout all three floors of my house. I’ve been using Netgear routers for about 20 years now, and they’ve performed well with a good life span. This unit is a good reminder why I keep coming back to them.

Fast and efficient.
I'm very impressed with this router. My old modem is a router/modem combination and you could really feel the slowness. I was getting emailed weekly by my internet providing telling me I could experience better service if I just got an upgrade. While my plan is to also get an entirely new modem which will be from Netgear, this wifi router has been a life saver. I haven't once lost Internet since using it. Our home devices have had 0 issues with disconnects or slowed down speeds due to too many devices being connected at once. If you work from home like me, get this device! I only have one complaint which isn't about the product itself. You are forced to download an app and make a whole user/account set up. I do wish I could just plug it in and be done with it after the initial set up. I definitely miss the times where we didn't need apps or to create entire accounts when buying new electronics. The product is still amazing overall.

Dumped Verizon's router for this one. Zero regrets. Take control of your home network!
After years of dealing with Verizon's terrible proprietary router, I decided to go ahead and just try to manage my own router myself and had prior experience with NETGEAR and their devices so I figured why not, let's try their Nighthawk model. Price tag is steep, so I went with the model I felt most comfortable with for what I needed. Let me tell you, this device is nothing short of amazing. The set-up is so simple and easy that I was really surprised at how uniquely user-friendly it was to put together. It's almost literally plug-and-play, download the app, set up the SSID name and password and you're good to go. That's it! The app is ridiculously good in terms of providing a sense of complete control over your wireless environment and the 1-year free subscription of its Netgear ARMOR security feature is pretty awesome too. It notifies you the moment a new device connects and it does a vulnerability check to make sure that device doesn't have anything that could compromise the security of your network. It gives you the ability to test the connection speed direct to the router and allows you to create profiles for parental controls. The full parental control experience seems to be locked behind another subscription as well, which is my only gripe about this is that (along with everything else in 2023) there's subscription services attached. However, even without paying for it, it does what I need it to do without a problem. Ever since I started with this, I've had zero connectivity issues (unlike Verizon's router), I've had greater speeds than the Verizon model on all my devices, and above all else, I feel like I'm in control of my home network again. It's great.

Seamless Setup and Flawless Streaming Performance!!!
The NETGEAR Nighthawk 6-Stream Dual-Band WiFi 6 Router (RAX54S) proved to be an exceptional upgrade for our home network. The setup process was incredibly smooth; it was very easy to get the router configured and running, making the transition to 5g completely hassle-free. The accompanying mobile application was a pleasure to use, providing an easy-to-interface dashboard for monitoring the network, managing connected devices and accessing settings. I was particularly impressed with the built-in security features, which provided excellent, robust protection right out of the box. In terms of performance, the coverage is outstanding, eliminating dead zones throughout our house. Crucially, we can now use all of our high-bandwidth streaming devices simultaneously; 4K video, gaming and video calls, with no issues, buffering or latency problems whatsoever. This router is a powerful, reliable investment for a modern connected home.

Impressed
Coming off of a system that was probably at least 10 years old this was a substantial upgrade in speed and range. The set up was very easy using the Nighthawk app. I love being able to see in a couple clicks all the devices that are on the network. This makes adding wired and wireless devices back to the new network really easy even with older devices.

Works with Intrepid Fiber Modem. Best WiFi Router, Ever!
Best Wifi router I've ever used at the house. It's not cheap, but this router rips! I recently had T-Mobile Fiber installed in my home. 1 Gb service, blah, blah, blah... Here's the endorsement: The WiFi router that T-Mobile provided (Nokia Beacon G6) worked great at the fiber modem. However, by the time that signal reached my office in the back corner of my house the speeds dropped to 70-75 Mbs download and 35-40 Mbs upload. Ugh. Workable, but less than acceptable. T-Mobile offered extenders, I didn't want to go that route. So, I swapped out the Nokia router with my Netgear Nighthawk and Voila! 250+ download and 175+ upload. The Nighthawk works great with the Intrepid fiber modem and no need for extenders. I highly recommend this product!
