Spectracide One Shot Fire Ant Killer

Works really good. Would buy again.

I use the product. It did not kill the entire heels and was three times or even four times the cost of fire killer that did work from the local hardware store. The only difference in the two is this when you put it on dry and the other one you put it on and watered the hill, but I didn’t see a lot of difference, actually I didn’t see a lot of from this product

I have treated mounds and it seems that they are killed after a day or two. I will continue to use and monitor how well it does.

These granules REALLY DO WORK!! Kills the mound quickly. I know because I have tried ALL of the red ant killer brands on the market. None of them perform like One Shot Fire Ant killer. A bit more expensive, but definitely worth it!!!

I live in the mid-south, and we constantly have problems with insects. Fire ants are just one of the insects which tend to invade our yard.This comes in a large 5 pound bag and is recommended to spread in a broadcast spreader. I chose to apply directly to the ant mounds.I sprinkled the Spectracide One Shot Fire Ant Killer on the mounds around the back yard and sue enough after a couple of days the fire ants were gone.The application is good for 3 months. I sprinkled the Spectracide about a month ago and have seen no trace of fire ants in the yard.Unless you have a large infestation, it probably makes sense to buy a smaller quantity and treat specific mounds. This is more designed for widespread application.I am sure that I will need to retreat in another month or two – depending on the weather.It does the job.

I live in Central Texas where fire ants are rampant in the spring and early summer. When I saw that this should work for three months, I was more than excited to give it a try. I followed the instructions exactly and for the first two weeks, I didn’t have even one ant hill to contend with. Then, they were back full force. I ended up buying a smaller “shakeable” size to get each hill one at a time. Sometimes, the ants were gone within 48 hours. Other times, the hill was active for up to a week after the initial application. It gets three stars. I just haven’t found a magic solution, yet.

Of all the ant control products that I have tried to eliminate the significant ant problem in my yard, this is the only one I will use from now on. It's the easiest to use. No watering in of the product. Just follow the instructions on the package and the entire ant bed dies within 1 to 3 days. This is the most effective product that I have used to control ants! Highly recommend!
