I just ordered it how can i ask to have the joint adaptor included since i will have the same problem as others due to the weight of my tablet?

the size of the phone itself should be compatible. The fact the holder compresses to hold phone it may make your phone fold shut . I love using this stand to read in bed at night and have no problem with using my Samsung Galaxy A53 phone or 7 and10 inch fire tablets

Can this hold a 11.1" device that weighs 17.5 oz? Reviews are mixed and I'm concerned about the stability with something that is heavier.

10.5” is all I can get it to open. My older Ipad (9.5X11),with case is just under 24oz and it holds it just fine. However it does become top heavy if it is extended out and not out straight out due to the pole being at one end of the rectangle base. I set a dumbbell weight on the base to fix that problem.
