Saved me hundreds of dollars at the dealer!
Worked great! Followed a video and webpage to swap the key blade and the transponder and it worked! Ordering a second one. Bought for a 2011 Chevy Cruze. Was fairly easy for someone who's not mechanically inclined at all. Would recommend!

Actually works as described
If you have one key that's programmed and the other ones not this is the way to go. You can switch over the metal part into the new cover. It's simple to program it You stick the program key in the ignition. Remove it after 5 seconds. And then stick the key to be programmed in the ignition and for me it programs right away. It unlocks and locks the doors and starts the car. Definitely worth it if you have the old key That doesn't work. But one good key. A++++ rating

One Year Fix
The buttons on our old key fob broke last year so we bought this one. We opened it up, replaced the black key with our original, and connected it to the car. It worked okay, but we had to replace the battery within 2 months. 13 months later the unlock button broke, the battery is dying, and the fob keeps popping open. Tldr: It's a better deal than a mobile locksmith ($200-$300 CA), even better if you replace the key yourself. You'll probably have to replace the batteries and it will last a year if you're lucky.

2nd Replacement for 2013 Chevy Cruze
This is a replacement for the 1st fob I ordered, which I returned due to the "Lock" button being permanently pressed in when I received it (obviously a used/returned item). Amazon did replace it with one that seems to be new/unopened. After testing all the buttons, the "Lock" button does not seem to have the same audible "click" like the other buttons when pressing it, which seems to be a defect in the manufacturing process. However, I need a spare key, so instead of returning it, I took my original key from my broken fob and swapped it to the new keyfob. Programming was very simple...use a working key & fob (do not start the engine), turn the key until lights on dash come on and then go off by itself , then remove the key/fob, and within 5 seconds, insert the new, unprogrammed keyfob, turn the key until the dash lights come on then go off. Then, start the engine, I let my engine run for about a minute or so. The new fob should now be programmed to work the trunk and doors. If you do it this way, there is no need to have a new key lasercut. Note: when placing your old lasercut key into the new fob, you may have to spin the laser cut key counterclockwise once to put tension on the spring, then carefully close up the fob. This will insure that your key will "snap out" from the fob correctly. I used all the "key" parts from my old fob for proper fitment. You tube videos are helpful too.

Great replacement
Bought a key fob for my 2014 Chevy Malibu. Flawless construct , took to locksmith to cut the key . Put the original in turned to on position without cranking the engine waited 20 seconds turned it off and put in the new copy to the on position waited 20 seconds then cranked the engine started right away . Highly recommend.

Acceptable but could be better
It is a key that was easy to program since I had another working programmed key. It was a challenge to take the old cut key and fit it into the new shell because the groove that the key sits on did not line up and had to manipulate quite a bit. You get what you pay for. Because it doesn’t line up the pop mechanism doesn’t work but can pull the key out still manually.

Swap key tips
I made it work. I swapped the uncut key tip from this one for my old one and paired it. There is a little pin you can knock out to swap.
