I got these and some sample cups so I could get my lab samples at home, it's so much less stress. They fit on my elongated toilet bowl just fine. You put it on the base then close the seat to hold it in place. The markings are very easy to read if you need those, buti use it to pour into sample cups. It pours easy with the little trench so it don't spill everywhere. They are sturdy enough to wash out and re use. It makes getting a sample so much easier for me because reaching under and catching just don't work so good for me anymore. I just clean it out and throw it in a bag then under the vanity until next time. It hasn't cracked or warped, cleans and can be sanitized easy. If you need to take it with you, you could fit it in some purses or a backpack. It Def makes it easier, I will buy more if something ever happens to these. I've reused this at least 8 times and it's the same as when I got it, but since I got the value pack I use it doubled up for more sturdiness. I recommend these, the value is great too. Before my husband returned home after surgery, I purchased a commode for him to use in an emergency if he couldn't get to the bathroom right away. The hospital used commodes with these "inverted" hats in the commode and then threw them away (naturally - do not reuse). The nurse generously gave me 3 new inserts to act as a sample so I knew what to order. The ones at the hospital are like a compressed styrofoam and when I received these, they are more a "plastic" and very sturdy. Slightly pricey, but fit exactly the same and I don't mind spending the money if it helps him recover faster. Recommend these, although there are several other companies selling them, too. These are just the first I ordered after reviewing costs and shipping time.

I use these with my folding camp toilet so that I can separate urine from solids.
