Good quality product and as expected.
Great product and value. Design is great and weight as expected — used for a military plaque. Functionality seemed as expected, while grip was as expected and fit was as expected.

Good reproduction for the money
I wanted a bayonet for my M1 that I received from the CMP, but I wasnt really prepared to shell out the money for a real deal surplus bayonet. They can go for some serious coin. That, and I really dont >need< a bayonet. It seems very sturdy and well built and afixed to my rifle easily. The scabbard locks in nicely and fits on a GI issued ammo belt. As far as "toughness", I have no idea...I havent charged the beaches of Omaha or fought of a horde of charging Japanese....so I have no idea how well it will hold up to "real use". It is stainless steel, so I doubt overly well. But, for the looks and the price, it was a good purchase.

Got more than I expected with this exceptional value for the money
I was/am very impressed with this military style bayonet and highly recommend it. It's Larger than I expected and that's a positive in my mind. It's nice and sharp on one side and one can feel the quality steel or other alloy that it's made up will stand the test of time and usage. I love the sheathe and the push button release that keeps the bayonet safely clasped until the user is ready to deploy. After serving in the US Army for over 26 years--I'm thrilled to add it to my collection of bayonets (this will be my fourth one). It's even bigger and heavier than the original bayonet that I was 1st issued in 1983 and I would be very confident in using it in the field or any other environment that required survival of the fittest.

Great reproduction, but it might not meet realistic standards
I bought this to use on a Denix wall hanger. That means it probably is not the best for a real M1 since the bayonet lug on the Denix is larger than a real M1. On the other hand, this is probably a more accurate repro than the Denix M1. Most Denix repros do not have the markings of the real weapon, but they are good wall hangers or movie props. The bayonet does come marked. Not really an expert on the US weapons, but this looks fairly good to me. I added the pictures so that you can make up your mind as to how accurate this is. It looks realistic enough for me. Someone asked about the China marking and I added a pic of that. I also added a pic of the bayonet attached to the Denix. Someone mentioned that the bayonet was loose on his M1, which makes sense. It is a bit tight on the Denix, but it fits. That is useful if you want this for reenacting using the Denix (yeah, I know that's not perfect or recommended, but some people do use Denix for reenacting). Anyway, I posted pics so you can make up your own mind if this fits your needs. Remember a real bayonet can set you back quite a bit, which is why this meets my needs (1) display item that was (2) inexpensive. Your needs may be different from mine, but I hope this was useful.

Decent quality for the low price.........but
decent quality and good price. Fit my 1903 Springfield rifle without any problems....it was a bit tight at first but eventually wore in after just a few times attaching it to the bayonet lug. The bayonet appears to be very rugged and usable. Stainless steel all the way. I was going to reblue it after sanding the black finish off and wanted to try antiquing the blade and handle but stainless steel doesn't blue.....so anyway, I left some black finish in the hard to reach areas and that gave it a pretty good aged appearance.....and I intentionally made several dings and scratches on it to help match the aged rifle appearance. I would recommend this for those who don't want to spend a small fortune. It does make the rifle look complete.....I think most people would be pretty pleased with this item. Note: the black handle panels are a pretty good attempt to replicate the original Bakelite material but these are brittle. One side of the handle broke in half with not much pressure......so be careful if you ever remove the handle grips from the bayonet.

No fault of the seller. My AMAZON search for an M1 'CARBINE' Bayonet lead to this one, and a couple others that were in no way for any M1. It is what it is, CHICOM made and very good looking out of the box, CAN'T SPEAK TO QUALITY. Was not for the M1 Carbine. The Family Gifted Grandpa 'Poppy' a re-worked M1 Garand for Christmas. He used one in NAVY service in the early years of VIETNAM. This bayonet made a nice addition to that gun. I have not seen it in place, but am informed it fit perfect. I bought it with a gift card I got for Christmas, (no real cost to me) and received it fast enough to get it to Poppy the Saturday after Christmas, when his family had their gathering. We're all happy with the purchase. The one I need is a bit more expensive than this, and I may have to settle for a used one. My Bad. The 'SEARCH' may lead us to something, double check the full description and name of product.

Terrible Fit and Finish
Mine came already broken. The screw holding the grip together was not attached and the two sides had separated. They also seemed to have been somehow warped because they bowed out and the screw was not long enough to even attach them. I could have found a replacement screw, so I set the grips aside to fit the remainder on my Garand. This bayonet is way too tight and would not seat properly. I spent about twenty minutes trying to get it on without doing irreparable damage to my gun. Not worth it for a cheap piece of junk with "Made in China" slapped on the side of it.

Good knife
Good knife, used it while camping. Nice metal sheath, a little to shinny for me, so just sprayed painted with a dull flat green paint

Pretty good replica for the money
Pretty good replica for the money. Fits my M1 Garand fairly well but with a bit of play as the muzzle ring is a bit big for my Garand. Would be really nice if the scabbard was made of steel rather than plastic.
