This inexpensive, little device solved my problem. The patient has a history of falling, even with a walker. I placed a bell next to her bed, and a horn on her walker, but although she promises to call for me at night, she either forgets or just doesn't want to bother me. The volume level of the alarm is loud but that's good. If you don't want it quite so alarming, it's easy enough to muffle it with a blanket or pillow, or just leave it in a different room than where you plan to be. It can be heard throughout my house. The alarm can also be worn on my belt and has coverage throughout the house and even when I'm in the yard or garage. Sensor placement: At first, I placed the sensor on the floor on the side of the bed where she normally rises, but one morning, she rose from the foot of the bed, and it failed to alert me. I now place the sensor on a table with coverage over the entire bed. I get a errant alarm from time to time as she tosses in bed, but I can fine tune the location to minimize false alerts. I'll happily accept an occasional false alarm over the risk of a fall any day. Now here's a tip: Have 2 sensors to cover movement in bed and a second one to alert you when the patient has her feet on the ground. You can distinguish which is which by assigning different alert sounds: I like the "Ding Dong! Ding Dong!" for bed movement and the "Lone Ranger theme when her feet reach the ground. Also if you're thinking in terms of your loved one falling, this site has vendors who sell anti-fall inflatable vests specifically with the elderly in mind. They seem impressive to me.

Works really well, easy to setup, months of battery life. Good product! Very adjustable for sensitivity and coverage area.

This has been a sleep saver for me because I can actually sleep knowing there is no way I will not wake up if my 'elderperson' moves. Would be nice (of course more expensive) if the on off button were further from the alarm buttons (choice of sound, can one dream?). Or maybe a little red (not blue, never blue) LED light? It has a decent range...with the antennas up it is reaching around several walls. Having a usb option in addition to batteries would also be nice but again maybe that exists.

I have had this camera for a few days. I am very satisfied. There are a few false alarms as it picks up movement from the bed so I keep tweaking the camera position. I have a baby monitor so if the alarm goes off I can see if he is getting out of bed or not. The combination is working well for me. I am slowly turning the volume down of the baby monitor as I trust the motion camera more each day. My husband has a little more then moderate dementia but has used the call button. This is helpful too. For some reason I usually catch him pushing it so I know it is not a false alarm. I have spoken to him from the baby monitor to verify he needs me. Honestly, last night I got an adequate night's sleep, first in weeks. I am very happy I bought this. Also, I had a question and emailed them. They were very helpful and prompt.

I love the whole concept of device, however; it has been going off without any motion in my mom's room. I've only had it two days and I'm already about to return it. I'm already tired of getting up and it's a false alarm. I don't see how anybody could be ok and rating this over 1 star with the false alarms waking them up the middle of the night only to find their elderly, dementia parent sound asleep. I will be returning this. Also there is no way to adjust the volume.

Setting the zone can be a little tricky, but work as described. I bought a 2nd set for backup. Helps greatly for caregivers.

Works well is loud. Got this when my elderly mother in law had shoulder surgery. She was on Some medication that made her unbalanced and this device was a life safer. The motion detector is very sensitive. Which worked well for us. It went off with ease which alerted us right away so we could help her and avoid any falls. During the night time. And she was able to alert us with the button when she needed something during the day.

I used this Synlett Caregiver pager recently when away with my Mum, it was fantastic. the sensor is really accurate and ensured that I was at mums bedside before she attempted to move for toileting etc, it definitely saved her from falling which would of occurred. It’s completely portable and better than a sensor pad for our needs.
