Got this as I couldn’t get the house internet in the shed at the end of the garden. Didn’t always connect straight away but on the hole worked well and allowed me to watch tv, stream music and browse the internet down in the shed. Easy to set up and a compact design.

It has great money and quality value

Well what can i say good value for money we had £20 unlimited data works fine in a phone abroard but sticking it in a hotspot unit doesnt work. People bought this together with the unit but no people it does not work. In your phone, tablet, laptop yes it does all over the world great sim but do not put it in a travel hotspot unit you will get no signal. Overall it does exactly what it says.

Bought a mini travel WiFi stick for use across my devices when not at home and coupled it with this sim card as I liked the idea of unlimited data and not being signed into a 12 month contract. Their packages are pay up front each month for the tariff you would like and it's easy to sign up and get up and running in a devices. In general use its been in all sorts of scenarios and all sorts of places and ive always had good signal from being used in hotels rather than paying for their daily WiFi packages, been used in conferences or at school where WiFi networks has been locked down and was even used to keep my sisters kids at bay with their youtube and tiktok addictions when her phone line went down for a few days - the smarty sim in my portable WiFi router never skipped a beat and kept all the devices online without an issue. Overall I'm very happy with the simcard and service provided by smarty.

Purchased this as urgently required data after broadband connection failed. Tried multiple times to activate two Smarty SIMS. Both SIMS appeared to activate successfully on the webpage but then received email messages saying it had been unsuccessful and payment would be refunded. Tried this multiple times on two different SIMS with the same response. Not fit for purpose, will now be purchasing SIMS from an alternative provider

With this you are just buying an unlinked sim card. Once it arrives you need to scan the QR on the sim packaging and then make a smarty account. When making the account you can then pick what plan you want so getting this specific sim as an unlimited version doesn’t really matter. I found that if you had made an account and then tried to activate the sim through the account it didn’t work and wanted to try and send you a new sim. If you wait and make the account while activating the sim it works fine. It takes 3 days or so for a sim to arrive from smarty so with prime this arrives faster if you are impatient like me. In terms of speed I was sadly disappointed. The sim was to be used in a 4g router for home internet as I am currently moving a lot for work and 24 month contracts for broadband are not an option. I was getting maximum 5mpbs with full bars of signal in the middle of Dundee, Scotland. Smarty said it’s excellent coverage in this area and still terrible speeds. I tried it in my phone to check if the router was the issue but same problem. I have an EE sim that I tried in the router and was getting 110mbps lighting speed so it was definitely the Smarty sim. Monthly contact helps as I will not be renewing it for next month and will be getting a data sim from EE. Hope this review helps anyone looking at mobile internet options.

Habe die Karte in Deutschland gekauft und dann per App einen Monat unlimited (20£) gebucht. Das hat super funktioniert, die Netzabdeckung ist gut. An manchen Stellen Wales und Schottland gibt es kein Netz, aber von keinem Anbieter (Handy hatte auch keinen Empfang) - top Preis-Leistung
