So far, very good. The Gen 2 is an older model, requires a micro-SD adapter car to use the card reader and only has the one USB 3 port - but there's a USB-C for both data and charging also available. Ruggedly made, comes with a nice rubberised bevel along the side edges to take drop impact. Obviously, I haven't deliberately tried it - but the lid stays closed, you have to pry it to get it to open - so if you did drop it, chances are good your little machine is going to survive.Also be aware, opening the lid switches the Chromebook on. Chromebooks are designed for instant-on access, so this feature is deeply integrated, unlike Windows laptops where you can usually change a setting like this in BIOS/UEFI settings (like "Flip to Start"). In Chromebook you have no BIOS Access: Chromebook firmware (coreboot) typically doesn't allow for user-configurable settings like Windows BIOS/UEFI - just be aware. There are workarounds but no permanent way to switch off this feature.Specs wise - we're dealing with a Chromebook - so this is a simple, Chrome OS - very easy to use, very intuitive. A bit naggy - but really very easy to set up: just log into your existing Google account (assuming you have one) and (if you don't) signing up for one is even easier.The tablet comes with about 10 gigs of apps already preinstalled - the OS will update and being so small its refreshing to use something that looks like a laptop but responds just as immediately as a tablet.The remaining 20 gigs are really yours to play with - not only is the Chrome Web Store available to you, you also have access to Google Play and - if you're more technically minded - Chrome is a proprietary OS based on Linux. Though, strictly speaking, not actually Linux itself, if you pop down to settings you can enable the Linux environment - this will give you a 10 gig sandbox in which to play about with Linux based software and still leave you change for Android based apps, and the 10 gig sandbox thing is negotiable, assuming you know what your doing. You can go smaller.Chrome expects you to take advantage of online productivity - using things like Google Docs to work in and Drive to store your work on. Its not a bad system, be aware you can also enable a free version of Microsoft 365 - Chrome web Browser is really your default gateway to everything web orientated and 365 has a Chrome extension you can just plug in - so you can have all the advantages of pretty high end word processing as well as all the other bits and pieces that go with that for no pennies.Know also - the android versions of LibreOffice and Open Office work fine and play nice on Chrome OS if you want to work offline, and - assuming you want to - you can also install Linux distros of both software's via Terminal, if you enable Linux via settings, which is very swish - almost gives you the feeling your using a Mac.Weight wise - the Chromebook is substantial, its a solid, fanless construction with a solid state SSD build in, so - unlike as with a laptop - you can swing this thing around, use it in the back of a car or on a train - you're not going to loose your data or damage the HDD as can all too unfortunately happen with higher end and far pricier full laptops.Battery life appears fair - so far I haven't run the machine for the touted 10 hours promised brand new. I don't expect it to last that long, but I've run it for a couple of evenings and haven't needed to recharge yet and don't look like I'll have to for a while.Speakers are tinny and (frankly) appalling - use a descent set of headphones if you want to run movies or play music.Connectivity is great, I have a bad WIFI signal my PC struggles to cope with at the back end of my house, I'm only managing this review by tethering to my tablet - but the Chromebook picks up WIFI like a sponge, its VERY connective.The Lenovo 100e Chromebook 2nd Gen came out originally in 2019 - later models use a micro SD card slot which - since the card fits relatively flush - probably makes them a slightly more desirable buy but, at this price - I'm not going to quibble. If I want extra storage space I can always use an adapter or an external HDD, and that's that sorted - the OS even allows you to install apps on the SD card, just like a descent tablet.Also the Chromebook has a HDMI port, you can connect to a higher resolution monitor or TV, should the need present itself.Yes - for a similar price I could buy a second-hand HP or Dell desktop rig, but you can't pop one of those in a rucksack and just take with you and the Chromebook is insubstantial enough not to feel like you've missed very much should anything array ever happen to you while mobile.Considering I've never really seen the point in Chromebooks before, getting the opportunity to play with one is good. My wife wanted a replacement for an old Lenovo x200 she was using that (these days) is just incredibly old and slow, despite being a masterpiece in laptop engineering - this Chromebook has all the utility of a tablet with the advantage of a much larger screen, great connectivity and a genuinely pleasant and intuitive to use operating system. I'm genuinely tempted to pick one up for myself.Very happy, gear arrived well packaged and in great condition, as advertised. 10/10 to the seller, will be using them again.

So slow impossible to use

Fast delivery. Laptop was in good condition on arrival. Our niece needed one for school . Good value and does what's needed.

A very good laptop runing Ghrome vwry wasy to use

You wouldn't know it was used Arrived well packaged. The desk top looks like windows. But it's not Took awhile to get accustomed to the difference UI. It's not fast. It has next to zero stora6. It doesn't need to be. Both can be taken care off by online apps. You'll never be able to play games on this. It's a good little tool for online use

It was good for the price I bought it at first because I just needed something to watch YouTube on but has now stopped working. It will turn on but the display won’t work. I have done all the usual resets, made sure its fully recharged etc but nothing. For something that was refurbished as “excellent” it lasted less than 2 months.
