I used this while running electric appliances while my kitchen was being rewired. Since they were all running on the same circuit, I had to be sure not to overload the circuit and this made monitoring the total amps being draw a cinch. And this seemed to fit the bill, it was cheap and looked good in the ad. It worked very well and was very convenient and as accurate as I could easily test it to be with my other meters. It would let me know if I was about to overload the circuit running the hotplate and the toaster oven at the same time, which saved me a bunch of walks out to the fuse box in the night. But, and this is a big one, it taught me a lot about the changing power usages of appliances as well as the rather poor power factor of some of my devices. I wound up learning a lot about the power usage of my kitchen gadgets. It gives some pretty technical information you might not understand if you don't have an electronics degree, but there's still lots of info there to let you know your power usage and costs of running an appliance. Highly recommended.

love this unit. was having issues with my RV generator cutting off because it was revving too high and the frequency limit was reached. this unit allowed me to measure the frequency and set the unit to 60 hertz and now the system is running great. I can check voltage when running both AC units to make sure the generator is keeping up with demand, and if something is plugged into the unit, you can monitor amp draw and usage. very handy tool for RVers

Accurate and easy to use. I've measured various appliances around the house to see how to most efficiently heat my spaces. It turns out that my kotatsu is extremely efficient for staying warm throughout the day, and my oil-filled radiator is best at night. Good to know! The brightness is great when the backlight is on, and there's a little blue light that shines when electricity is in use. It's easy to reset and change measurement modes. Overall this little thing was a great purchase and is already saving me money on electricity.

I use this meter to monitor the charging of my electric car. I use a type 1 charging cable. 120volts. This 120 volt/watt meter is great. It is easy to operate. This meter tells me what I need to know. I can monitor the line voltage, charge current and total watts/kilowatts of charge in real time. The meter face it lighted initially and stays lit for a few minutes. Push any button to light the meter face. The meter holds it's total kilowatts reading even after unplugged. I can keep track of the kilowatts used to charge my car.

I bought this to monitor the energy use/duty cycle of a small space heater I use for supplemental heat. It seems to work fine and the wattage draw appears consistent with what I'd expect to see. I like that, with a little bit of fiddling, you can put in your current, local kwh cost and have it do the math for you automatically so you can see total cost over time. You don't really need that, but it is convenient. What don't I like? That the display isn't backlit. There is a small blue light that turns on when power is running through it, but you will need to supply enough light to read it, which turns out to be somewhat inconvenient given that most outlets are not exactly at eye level. If I were improving this product I'd make the display bigger, add a backlight that could be turned off, and angle the display slightly so when it is plugged into a normal outlet it is easier to see when looked down on from above. But overall, it seems fine, and I'm not unhappy I bought it over the much more expensive name brand one we've all heard of.

I am trying to understand how much emergency power I need for my father's C-PAP machine so I purchased this unit and tested it last night on my window air conditioner. It was fun to see the statistics on the unit and mainly the max watts, kilowatt hours, and the cost is cool. Very interesting to know my window AC only costs 33 cents a day to run. I usually run it about 10 hours. I plan to take this to my dads and plug his C-PAP into it and then monitor it for a few days so we can order a battery backup that will last a couple days for this year's hurricane season.

Il prodotto è straordinario, per il prezzo a cui viene venduto. E' praticamente l'unico ad avere l'interfaccia di comando a 5 pulsanti, con combinazioni di visualizzazione complete conseguenti. Non è retroilluminato, d'accordo, ma è una componente in meno da mettere in conto a livello rotture e i numeri sono perfettamente contrastati come visualizzati nelle foto dell'inserzione, sono semplicemente difficili da leggere senza l'uso di una piccola torcia a pile, ma non è una cosa imputabile all'apparecchio, ma al fatto che le prese, tranne rare casistiche, sono tutte a livello battiscopa. Se installato su prese a 1 metro da terra, i numeri si leggono benissimo, anche in scarsa luce. L'apparecchio, una volta posizionato in presa, visualizza lo status, che può essere azzerato mantenendo le impostazioni o azzerato non mantenendo le impostazioni, in pratica, ha un soft e un hard reset, entrambi funzionanti perfettamente. All'atto dell'allaccio dell'utilizzatore elettrico, l'apparecchio non interviene, fino all'accensione dell'utilizzatore elettrico, in quel caso, si attiva e segnala la percezione della corrente tramite l'accensione di un LED blu. La cosa bella è che, se applicato ad utilizzatori elettrici spenti e solamente collegati alla rete elettrica, se inizia ad accendere il LED blu e a registrate watt, ci mette nelle condizioni di percepire se c'è o meno assorbimento ad utilizzatori elettrici spenti, e questa è veramente tanta roba, io che consumavo 1200 Kw a bimestre, grazie a questo piccolo gioiello, ho scoperto che avevo gli impianti di stereofonia, parliamo di 56 spine elettriche collegate a ciabatte, assorbivano, anche spenti, la bellezza di 121,27 Kw a bimestre, scusate se è poco. Lo consiglio vivamente a tutti, voto 10 stelle, e sono poche.

Ältere Leute brauchen also nicht unbedingt ihre Lesebrille aufsetzen (außer für die Bedienungsanleitung!) (siehe auch unter „Nachteile“ !) Bedienung: Ich habe das Gerät nicht gekauft, um die Energiekosten von Verbrauchern zu messen, sondern ich will nur die angegebenen Leistung von Verbrauchern überprüfen, und Stromfresser erkennen können. Dazu muss ich nur die Wirkleistung und die Scheinleistung von Verbrauchern messen können. (Das wäre „zu Fuß“ ziemlich aufwendig, weil man ja sonst auch den Phasenwinkel z.B. mit einem Oszilloskop messen müsste.) So stecke ich einfach das Energie-Meßgerät zwischen Steckdose und Verbraucher, und kann die Werte sofort ablesen. Daher brauche ich auch keine Bedienungsanleitung, denn mit nur einem Tastendruck kann ich mir das gewünschte Meßwerte-Paar anzeigen lassen, wobei die Einheiten der Meßwerte jeweils an den Tasten aufgedruckt sind. Einfacher geht’s nicht! LED: Die blaue LED zeigt an, ob das Energie-Meßgerät einen Verbraucher erkennt. (Es gibt ja Verbraucher, die eine besonders kleine Ruhestromaufnahme haben.) Nachteile: Display: Das Display ist keines dieser modernen, hellen, kontrastreichen TFT-Displays mit Hintergrundbeleuchtung, bei denen es eine Freude ist, sie abzulesen. Man muss das aber in Relation zum Preis sehen. Es fragt sich nämlich, was man für nicht einmal 21€ überhaupt erwarten kann! Ich benutze eben eine kleine Taschenlampe, wenn es zu dunkel ist, und fertig. Kein Punkteabzug! Das Gerät funktioniert soweit gut, und hat mir schon gute Dienste erwiesen. Die angegebenen 5 Sterne stellen keine absolute sondern eine preisbezogene Bewertung dar, sonst würde ich das Display bemeckern! Ich würde das Gerät wieder kaufen.

Hele fijne meter om vrij snel het verbruik van een apparaat te meten. Ook voor een langere periode is geen probleem. Zo ontdekte ik dat ik een sluipverbruiker net onder mijn tv had. Het was de speakerset. Die ging nietmeer in diepe slaap. De meter heeft een mooi duidelijk display.
