This chess set looks very impressive in person. The board is solid and heavy, with the smooth, cool feel you expect from marble. Grandson loves chess and is in a chess club at 12 yrs of age and was thoroughly excited to receive this beautiful set for Christmas. He’s become a chess master and beats adults. Very nice item and packed good too.

I got this set for my husband for his birthday, and he is obsessed! He is an avid chess player and has always wanted a really nice chess set, and I loved the idea of having a beautiful set as functional decor. I searched for the perfect set for a long time across many different selling platforms, and this set satisfied every requirement! Every single piece looks really nice (a lot of handcrafted sets have weird looking knights or strange bishops or something else just not quite right about them). It is stunning marble and perfectly weighted. It came with plenty of foam to attach to the bottom of the pieces so the board doesn't get scratched. It's the perfect size. All around, just a really fantastic set. My husband is over the moon about finally having his dream set on display, I can play with him more frequently to better learn the game, and I often find him just arranging the pieces practicing different openings and defenses by himself. It really is an amazing gift for any chess lover!

Great set

This set is really nice. The board is heavy and well made, and the pieces are nicely made. I did have an issue with a queen snapping when putting it back in the padded case, however it looks like this was due to a natural micro-fissures in the marble itself, and was easily fixed with some superglue, and is not noticeable. Haven't had any other issues with any of the pieces. I would suggest adding some felt pads to the bottoms of the pieces to avoid scratching the marble board. I purchased these 1" self stick felts, and they work very well: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MQ1UQLW/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I would like to seal all of the pieces and the board to keep a perfect shine and protection along with hardening the pieces a bit against any damage as the set is raw marble. You can purchase marble sealer and do it quite easily, and plan to do it soon.

The product, as you may imagine, even though it was amazingly wrapped with styrofoam and an overabundance of tape, was vulnerable to get damaged. It is stone, after all. Since it was made of natural materials, there were some microcracks. Negligible and almost invisible, for what it's worth - it's just that I work for Quality Management (ISO Processes) so I notice flaws right away. If it were any other company, that would have been an expensive $149 disappointment. Read on for my experience with them. I saw in the comments that they were very helpful so I sent them an e-mail. Very helpful group of folks. They were generous enough to give me a replacement board without the hassle of returning the other one when I found some damage. For the pieces that were broken, I had to order extra ones for about on a separate Amazon link for about $29. The company was patient and deliberate in explaining to me their charges. They gave me 4 pieces for that and 4 more when I complained it was so expensive for just 4. I used to work pricing for a logistics company so when they explained that they were paying DHL $38 to ship from where they were (I think they are from Pakistan). So I have two boards now and a lot of extra pieces. I'm using the flawed one as a centerpiece on my living room table (plus the extra/micro-cracked pieces) and the new one as the actual board displayed somewhere else with all the pieces in another room. I think it's a great investment. This is a perfect example of how great people make the product great and not how great products make people great. You won't regret buying from RadicalN.

Heavy duty, beautifully cut marble which will last a long time. Nice case to protect the pieces with foam cutouts. Primo!! Pieces are large and easily defined. Not a toy, for adult usage.

I've been searching for a artistic chess set that is tasteful, elegant and kind of modern or minimalistic in the same time to keep focus on the game easily without distractions from overload of details and ornaments... and I got this one! It exceeded my expectations by far. I'm amazed how satisfyling it is to play, how clear and natural it looks, and how neat and smooth it feels. I was afraid that richness of texture of marble and coral might be distracting, but i was wrong. It's still there to please your eyes but does not interfere with with gameplay as all the pieces are easy to distinguish. I especially appreciate the Knight design. It dictates the theme of the set, making it a bit exotic and modern, yet its still tastefull and complements classical style of the other pieces (i upoaded a video if you want to have a closer look). Amazing. As said earlier set is perfectly balanced and aesthetically pleasing. Weight of the pieces is also among the pros, pieces feel pleasant to touch and neat to play with. Its handcrafted stone afterall. Board is a litte heavy, but i wouldn't consider that a con, simply because i won't move it around. It's a beautifu set that i intend to keep in sight. What it also means is it's sturdy and durable so you can absolutely use it outdoors. Also, a shoutout to customer service! Professional, helpful and they value customers saticfaction as priority. I am very pleased with the quality of the chess board and the pieces. Clearly something you would display proudly at home, and enjoy playing with. Unfortunately one of the pieces arrived broken in 2 (despite the good protective packaging); I reached out to customer service to let them know of the issue - I rapidly received an answer and my replacement arrived (complementary) after only 2 days..! Very happy with such a prompt customer service.

Good price, well packaged... great quality, solid product. Only took a peep in to the contents of the box to ensure it had arrived safely (as it is a Christmas present), but was so impressed.

Pieces feel heavy and good quality. Most are cut and shaped well. Couple of them had small minor marks but overall for someone who loves chess this is a really nice set to play on. The carrying case is really convenient for packing and storing. The board looks like individual squares all glued together, and most were aligned properly, but some were slightly out. Not enough to really make a big deal out of it though. I would recommend.
