No tools needed!
Bought this for my Rossi Poly 20 GA. Really easy to install. Snap it on the barrel and it actually fits really tight! I ended with a sore finger tip when I had to peel it off the barrel because I had it ahead of the bead rather than behind it. I can definitely see better. A lot better in low light. Should be great for Dove or Deer.

Great addition to a bead sight weapon
I got this sight for an older, JC. Higgins, single shot .410 shotgun I've had for many years. It is a simple design with a bead sight. This sight is a great upgrade for the single bead and works great for most lighting conditions except very low light and darkness where it's the same as a bead sight. This is not a night sight, it is a fiber optic, but in daylight and room light this sight works really well. It's very bright. I would love to see TruGlo put this out with a TFO tube. It is easy to put on if you just read the instructions and follow it. Hold the sight over the barrel behind the front bead (meaning toward the breech end of the weapon. Place the end of the sight tube that is closer to the breech against the barrel and hold the sight at a 45 degree angle with the muzzle end of the sight barrel up. Then holding the breech end of the sight barrel against the weapon barrel push down and back on the front of the sight at a 45 degree angle until the back end of the sight barrel snaps over the weapon barrel; keep up pressure as you continue to press the front of the sight barrel back and down to get the rest of it around the weapon's barrel. Just make sure you don't press on the fiber optic tube itself. It will snap right into place. Lastly use a flat blade screwdriver to push the sight forward so the front notch is centered around and against the front bead, being careful not to scratch the weapon's barrel. You might have to rotate the sight barrel a little to straighten it out so the fiber optic tube lines up straight with the sight line of the weapon.

Really Good for the Money
I had previously installed one of these on my Mossberg 500 12g and was pleased with the results. It does take a little trial and error to hold the sight at the right angle and push just right, but it doesn't take long to be agle to pop it in place. Because the diameter of the .410 is so much less than the 12g, it's trickier to get the walls to spread. I actually pushed at the wrong angle and accidentally bent one side, but I got a pair of needle nose pliers and bent it back enough to find the sweet spot to get it on. Whateveer that plastic is, is a miracle. I haven't had a chance to fire the gun yet and see if it truly holds its place, but once it's properly mounted, it fits so tightly, it doesn't seem like it will be going anywhere from the gun's recoil. UPDATE: I've fired the shotgun about half a dozen times now and I dont' see a hint of movement. The fiber optic bead is bright red in the daylight and about the same size as the factory bead. I am thoroughly pleased. One note: This sight is harder to put on a .410 barrel than a 12g, so pay close attention putting it on. The plastic is quite firm, but it's also unforgiving. Get it right the first time,

Really like the sight but does break easily
Really like the sight but does break easily. I bought this because the bead of my shotgun broke off and needed a better option. This snapped right on the barrel. However on my first day turkey hunting I tripped (yes I know Iโm an idiot) and the fiber optic broke off. I bought a replacement of these and wasnโt installing it correctly and ended up breaking it on install. So I ended up just ordering the TRUGLO 0.78x5.5 replacement fibers (had to call their support to find out what size fit this) And was able to quickly replace the fiber and now I carry those replacements in my bino pack as well. So love the option, itโs a cheap upgrade that makes a huge difference but buy the replacement fibers or donโt trip with your shotgun..

Fits Mossberg Maverick 88, 12 gauge, with bead sight (non-ribbed)
As title states, this fit my Mossberg Maverick 88, 12 gauge, 18.5 inch barrel, bead sight (non-ribbed) shotgun perfectly. Follow instructions on package and double check that your weapon is cleared with no ammo loaded. After checking, check again. This is an extremely tight fitting accessory. Center up the sight as best as you can as when this is installed it is difficult to adjust. There is a small notch on the front that the bead sets into to help center and secure your new sight. When I installed mine I had to budge mine a little closer forward to seat the bead into the notch. DO NOT USE A METAL HAMMER OR METAL PUNCH TO MOVE THIS SIGHT as it will most likely scratch your barrel. I used a small nylon hammer and lightly tapped the Tru Glo sight forward by tapping on the black plastic part of the sight. Try not to hit the fiber optic element, the element is fragile. This worked flawlessly for me. Just dont get frustrated, it may take a couple tries but youll get it. Also note, keep a firm hold on the attachment/ sight when installing. Until you get it on all the way this thing is "spring loaded"! :) It WILL launch if not seated fully. Ask me how I know... Anyway, I am extremely happy with this sight. It is a VAST improvement over the little brass bead and I have MUCH better sight acquisition. I chose the green optic vs. the red one because my eye prefers the green and it also contrasts better against the red "bulls eye" on the targets at the range when I go practicing/conditioning. However, you choose what works for YOU. I hope this helped at least one person, just take your time and be safe! Make a liberal smile, tell them you saved some money by installing an accessory to your gun on your own! Be safe, be calm and aim true! God bless you all!

Dissapointed.
Received this today. Advertised as all metal construction. Not true. PLASTIC!! Would have been about 5 stars if it was metal. Disappointing to state something that is not correct. Shame on Tru GlO. If it is really metal than provei it. Worth about 1/2 the amount as plastic.

Excellent low budget option for bead replacement.
As best I can tell these are NOT metal. Bu they do clamp down and stay secured on the barrel.

Probably not for a shotgun that;s going to be abused day in day out!
I purchased two of these, both for Mossberg 88 12ga Tactical Shotguns. They are very bright, and work well. My wife and I completed a 4 day tactical shotgun class at Frontsight, and hers made it through, but mine the fiber optic came loose and was lost on the last day. These classes are always a true test of gear, and it seems that these made a 50% showing.

Fantastic sights!
for hunting ruffed grouse is amazing. Fast accurate sighting in bush and low lighting. Highly recommend. All my shots are now right on target. Easy to install and a nice tight fit.

Great site
Got this for my Cooey model 84 .410. Extremely easy to install and I love it out in the bush. A bit pricey... but worth it.

Great in all light
Way easier so see than ball sight, quicker to sight. Placed mine in hot water for couple minutes made for easier install. Make sure you line it up before it cools down because this baby holds it's position really well once cooled down. Good for securement, but hard to adjust when cool. Bought second one for pump.
