This is an excellent box cutter. It has a nice firm factor that’s suitable for household use. I have other heavy duty cutters in my toolbox, but this sleek, lightweight cutter if perfect for everyday home use. It has a nice design and has great functionality. It’s well worth the price. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I never thought I’d be excited about a box cutter, but here we are. The HOTO Utility Knife has quickly become my go-to for opening packages, breaking down boxes, and even the occasional DIY project. What I Love: ✅ Smooth, precise cuts – The blade retracts and extends effortlessly, making each slice clean and controlled. ✅ Comfortable grip – Feels sturdy yet lightweight, making long use easy on the hands. ✅ Built-in wire cutter – A small but super handy feature that I never knew I needed! Minor Downsides: ⚠️ Blade replacement isn't as quick as I'd like, but it's not a dealbreaker. ⚠️ Wish it had a belt clip for easy access, but it fits well in a drawer. Final Verdict: For anyone who deals with packages regularly or needs a solid, well-designed utility knife, this one’s a winner. Would I buy it again? Absolutely. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I love this blade so much! It’s been incredibly useful, and I kind of can’t believe I didn’t own one sooner! It’s sharp, and so well-made.

I've bought a LOT of box cutters (for various reasons), and I'm looking for a slim, simple, thumb action knife. I have many, many OLFA brand box cutters that use the same blade. Obviously the blade makes a big difference in function of box cutters like this, so it boils down to the holder/shell. This one is lovely and simple. The thumb mechanism has sufficient (although maybe sliiiightly light) spring action. The notch for cutting with the blade retracted is a cute idea, but I'm not sure I can find that many use cases for it. One reason I cycle through different cutters so much is because I'm trying to find one that is fantastic for (home/residential) electrical work. Main use is to cut NMB sheath and maybe some drywall cutting, construction pencil sharpening, etc. I often work with gloves, so the spinning dial mechanisms are a little finicky. The Olfa thumb slider knives tend to be a little chunky, and I'm slipping the knife in and out constantly from my tool pouch. The HOTO unlatches the back cover of the blade (for removal) a little too easily, but it's actually inconsistent. Sometimes it's a pain and difficult to get the back off, and other times you're just retracting the blade back to a "safe" position to throw it back in your tool pouch, and it pops off. That feels rather unsafe to me. Overall quality and fit and finish is designer-nice. It's also inexpensive enough where you could grab a couple to leave in backpacks/car, etc. It's sleek and "simple" to use, just a few quirks keep it from perfect (for my use case)

I love the aesthetic look of this knife. I bought it three years ago, and it’s still going strong. I mainly use it to open boxes and haven’t needed to snap off the blade yet. Highly recommend this product!

High-quality cutter.

I love this utility knife. I have it at quick access for all my parcels. The action is smooth and I like the notch for breaking off new blades. The design is also nice to look at and blends into my office instead of most utility knives. I used it when working on bags of soil in the spring and it washed up quite nicely afterwards. If I need another utility knife I will be buying another Hoto. I will say, there's no safety lock on this, so make sure you've got it out of reach of busy hands.

Really impressed with the design here. Feels great in hand mechanism, and looks far better than a typical box cutter. Simple tool, but very well executed.
