This is the tool to buy!
Just bought this. Just got it delivered. Just used this for the first time 5 minutes ago and had to write a review. I just bought this to fix a flat on my road bike. I have gone through 4 normal tire levers. They have all snapped. I have 700c tires and for whatever reason my front tire is always just extra challenging to get off an put on. I have bent metal shims, and broken plastic tire levers. I have also popped tubes because that final wriggle to get the last bit of tire bead over the wheel is just so tough. Knowing my issues I was really hesitant to just buy another set of levers, so looked at quite a few options. When I saw that helped put the tire on as well as remove, it was a no brainer choice for me. Holy crap did this work really well! I will say that it is a little bit different than other levers, so takes a minute to figure out how to apply it to get the tire off. But once I did, it just took a little bit of force to get the first few inches of the tire free, then it was butter. It also was incredibly easy to put on. Literally just insert and pull the tire around. I have never replaced a tire this easily! I am really impressed. I was hesitant about three things: 1 - durability: having gone through several other levers I wasn't sure if another plastic option would be suitable. However it seems pretty clear that this is robust. The plastic is thick in the right places. I'm not going to say it won't ever break, but I will say it doesn't appear to be easy to break. 2 - single lever: all of the systems I have ever use have been 2 levers. One that holds to the spoke and one that pushes the tire off. I wasn't sure how this would work without the primary lever to hold that tire off of the wheel. However the mechanism that makes this work is great. No need for it. 3 - too good to be true: when I watched the video I wasn't sure it would actually be that easy but it really is. Works great. One thing some people may not like is that it probably isn't something that can clip to a bike easily - however it is small enough to easily fit in an equipment bag. No hesitation to recommend this! It's awesome.

shockingly good. schwalbe, conti 4k/5k and dt-swiss owners take note
background: I buy a fair bit from amazon and do not write a lot of reviews. When I do it's usually because things didn't meet expectations. This is the opposite. I swap tires through the year due to wintry weather. It's my least favorite part of owning a bike. I ride schwalbe marathon, marathon plus, conti 4K, winter marathon plus. And I have a dt swiss G540 rear wheel. The combination of tires & rim is awful. It has taken me an hour to change tires before with soap, skinned knuckles and a very helpful youtube video**. This gadget took my battle down to about 15-20 seconds for my winter marathon plus just now. Unbelievable. It converts body weight and leverage into a very easy process. I'm surprised the average rating isn't higher, but I wanted to share my experiences in case it helps other owners out there. The video below is still helpful to create a bit of slack, including that technique of pushing that slack down the tire towards the tight area. But this tool is absolutely a game changer. Kudos to the inventor. p.s. It's small so I plan to get a second one for my kit, not just for home. ** search youtube for: david arthur just ride bikes how to change tire

Made installing tires much easier
Makes installing new tires much easier. For me, it worked best when putting the tires back on the rim. I still needed a standard set of pry bars to get the wheel off the rim, but once started, this tool made quick work of removing it. Would recommend to keep in your tire tool kit.

Tire changes made easy!
Works exactly as advertised! It was smaller than I thought it would be, which is great because it will fit in your bicycle tool kit easily. I am awful at changing tires and this made me look like a pro. With a little practice, you could probably change a tire and tube in under a minute.

Installs Continental Gatorskin tires
This thing is awesome. A tool small enough to fit in your pocket that can actually install a Continental Gatorskin tire on a roadbike without overwhelming effort. A warm day and some soapy water also help.

This is a must have!!!!
This is a must have item in your saddle bag and/or your workshop. This is a game changer for removing and installing the most difficult tires in the market. I was part of a very large and successful support team that road in the RAGBRAI event in 2025. Our support team recorded more than 450 roadside punctures assists. As a team we can’t not officially endorse any products, but you know the who the Angels of the Road are next to you during this event. But I personally used this tool on more than 20 assists over the 7 days and everyone was amazed by the results and speed that I could change a tire with this tool. It’s a huge help that will replace your tire levers completely! This is the perfect stocking stuffer for any cyclist in your life. They will thank you for it!

Go with the Tyre Glider over the Tire Monkey
I bought both a Tyre Glider and a Tire Monkey to try them both out. I have used them so far only on changing tires on a mountain bike - 26 x 1.95 tires. I found both difficult to use to remove the tire - the tires are tall and it was difficult to get either under the bead to take it off. It might work better on a lower profile road tire (I hope since that is what I ride!). It was much easier with the tire irons I have owned and used for 50+ years. Installing the tire with the Tyre Glider was eye opening easy. I found the Tire Monkey worthless for installing. The Tyre Glider is designed so its long portion lies along the rim when you are installing the tire, keeping everything aligned properly and making it easy for you to lean into the tool to muscle a tire onto the rim. The Tire Monkey depends upon your wrist strength to keep everything aligned and if you are needing to push hard, it is beyond at least my strength and ability to do that. Perhaps with practice I would be able to manage, but why bother when the Tyre Glider works without practice. I have arthritis in my hands which makes changing a tire difficult. I can see the Tyre Glider being an effective way for me to continue to be able to fix a flat while out on a ride. Hopefully it works effectively with reinstalling my road tires which is a massive problem for me with just traditional tire irons.

Not worth it
I would never recommend this to anyone. It punctured two inner tubes for my specialized rubaix road bike. I replaced an inner tube that went flat and when I installed the new one, the device punctured that inner tube and then the replacement inner tube was punctured as well. The video does not portray the difficulty of putting on a tire. It takes a lot of strength and a lot of effort. It gave me a blister trying to push with all of my might.
