Anybody explain why on amazon its more expensive than on official uk yum asia shop? About 10 pounds and they have dpd carrier

Hello! We have to charge slightly more for our products on Amazon because the fees we are charged to sell on Amazon's marketplace are very high (£17 per Panda rice cooker sold). The fees we have selling on our own website are lower than this, so we are able to charge less for Panda on our own site.

How much time does it take to cook a cup of rice? (Basmati)

Hello! It would depend on whether you were cooking white or brown basmati as the cooking times are different. Cooking time depends on ambient temperatures as well as how much rice you are cooking. The guidance we give in the manual is that it's around 35 minutes for white basmati, this is the full capacity cooking time so for 1 cup it's around 25 minutes. What are the actual volume ratios of long grain white rice to water?

Hello! We do not use volume ratios for any of our rice cookers because there are water scale marks stamped onto the inner bowl, this takes any guesswork out of the water/rice ratios. So you use the provided 180ml measuring cup to measure the rice you want into the inner bowl, then you use the scale on the inner bowl to fill to the corresponding number of cups as indicated on the scale - so for 2 cups, you measure the 2 cups of rice, then fill to the number 2 on the right hand side of the scale on the bowl.

Can it also be used as a slow cooker for casseroles?

Yes it makes an excellent curry casserole cooks new potatoes to perfection will also make pastry less quiche and soup
