This is an introductory product. It's not a product that packs a specification that will excite scope enthusiasts and electronics professionals. I bought it for it's low cost for hobby electronics and learning and in that regard it does the job. All requires parts are provided. As with many Chinese products, they could have put a bit more effort into the manual and maybe got it checked by a native English speaker. The information is there but it's not well worded. To avoid you thinking you've received a broken product, It's not made terribly clear in the manual but the first thing you'll want to do is calibrate the probes as they'll be slightly out as supplied. People familiar with test equipment will know this but people buying this as a first scope probably don't. Plug in a probe, ensure it's set to 10x using the switch on the side, connect it to the test point which is a little metal loop on the bottom right of the device. The top loop is for the probe and the bottom one connects to the black grounding croc clip that is attached to the probe. Switch the scope on and hit "autoset". The test point puts out a 1Khz 5V square wave. However, initially it probably won't look very square in the display. Take the supplied screw driver and adjust the compensation screw on the BNC connector until the test signal looks like a perfect square wave. It'll probably need about a 1/8th of a turn in one direction or other.

My first ever oscilloscope and also at entry level. A very good and reasonable price.

Buyers should beware that contrary to an earlier description this model does not include a signal generator nor a logic analyser. This was a mistake in the wording acknowledged by Owon and disappointing for me.
