I have a lumbar hernia, which is fairly rare. This wonderful belt was exactly what I needed. It has a pad to place on the hernia which is movable, Velcro closing that stays where I put it. It doesn’t show under my shirts. I’m female, by the way. I highly recommend this belt!

I fell and injured my lower back. I am wearing this belt as I write this review. The belt reduces the muscle pain by 80-90% as the injury heals. The product offers great value for the money and is very highly recommended.

Was to small need large

While waiting for my surgery I first used the "Tonus Elast Umbilical Navel Hernia Belt" (also from Amazon) which gave wonderful support but it stressed my back muscles, plus it lacked fabric stays to keep it from constantly rolling up while wearing it. THEN finding this "Belltop umbilical hernia belt" was wonderful by comparison. Lightweight but strong, and its fabric stretches generously. It has better velcro grip. It stretches with my movements. Far less stressful to my back muscles. And its built-in fabric stays (slightly rigid sections) prevent it from rolling up (which was a major problem with the Tonus belt). Feels "next gen." Forget that I have it on. Hope this helps you, as you shop!

Well made- soft, comfortable, Velcro holds and doesn't scratch skin like some. However, would like it to be tighter but I'm already using the S/M size. Liked it and went to look for a smaller size and realized I already got the smallest. Probably won't be tight enough as-is for someone in better shape. I'm probably going to look for another pad to insert on top of the one already included to apply more pressure to the spot. Overall though, much better than the last other brand one I tried that Velcro would scratch over the sides, make a lot of Velcro ripping sounds when exercising, and just not stay closed. But disappointed but will probably continue to look for a perfect one for me UPDATE: After about a month or 2, stitching starting to come apart, and fraying edges are a little spiny and sticking my stomach. Still using for lack of finding a better one yet, but has to flip it around because it the "fishbones" sticking into my stomach. Someone doing more strenuous exercise than me would get even less time out of this probably. I'm just doing a little yoga and wearing it all day at a desk. Knocking my prior rating down to 3 stars because it's still more compact, supportive, and comfortable (when not poking me) than others, but it's falling apart and at some point will have to get another or find alternative.

I have a small, size of a quarter hernia bumb right above my belly button. This belt works great at keeping it down. I will probably have to get it fixed somewhere down the line though. For now i am very happy wearing this belt.

Too wide/tall, cuts hip bone tops.

Make sure to measure before buying. The large was too big for me and I needed a small. But the small puts a perfect amount of pressure on my hernia and it feels secure. I think it will be good for the gym or running under my shirt. Great purchase

Der beste Hernie - Gurt den ich je hatte! Bisher waren die Gurte viel zu breit und schnürten teilweise Blutgefäße im Rücken und Bauchbereich ab. Umständlich zu pflegen waren die auch. Hier hab ich ein gutes Gefühl dass der Gurt seinen Zweck 100 %ig erfüllen wird. Einziger Nachteil ist, es ist keine deutsche Beschreibung dabei! Aber da man Gurte schon länger trägt kennt man langsam die Handlungsbegebenheiten. Aber das man den Gurt nach dem anlegen nicht mal mehr spürt, das kannte ich nicht!

It's nice and broad so feels very good. The material is thin so the belt is not bulky. I ordered the S/M and it just fitted. There is only about 30mm of overlap for the velcro to grip. This is the second one I've bought and I'm very pleased with it. Additional information I've now had this for a number of months and it has been so reassuring to wear. I've just had an umbilical operation and it has also been reassuring to wear in the days after the operation helping reduce the feeling of drag on my stitches.
