Covers all those odd jobs.
Every firearm or camera/video nut should have one o these for those odd mounting jobs that come up. My example is it helped me mount a Go-Pro on the bottom of my rifle barrel for a special video I was making.

I have tried the rest, This IS the best !
I wanted to attach a distance laser meter to the top of a scope mount (NATO/Picatinny Rail). I went through a number of various mounts until I got this one ... then I ordered two more. It is small, compact, all metal and as solid as the Rock of Gibraltar. It has 1/4-20 threaded hole in the top with a cavity in the bottom the head of a fastener. It comes with 1/4-20 x 10 mm long reduced shaft tripod screw. This allows one to FIRMLY attach a camera or other device with 1/4-20 female mount to the top. The NATO clamp uses two M5 x 30 mm socket head cap-screws so that one does not have any funky oversized fastener heads stuck out to interfere with other items.
