This is one of the best electronics I have bought in a long time it works with your Alexa or through your phone on the Alexa app. You can plug two different items into it and turn one on turn one off. This is the third outdoor smart plug I’ve purchased, and they’ve all worked flawlessly. I use one for a fountain, one for Christmas lights, and one for lights on a tree. I really like the dual outlets, which can each be programmed independently. I use these plugs with Alexa, and they’re very easy to set up. I can schedule on/off times or override the schedule anytime with a simple voice command. We live in Minnesota, where temperatures can range from -25°F in the winter to over 100°F in the summer, and none of the plugs have failed. They’ve proven to be extremely reliable and durable in all weather conditions. Highly recommend.

I bought this smart plug to control an outdoor water pump, and honestly, it has turned out to be excellent. The pump isn't exactly lightweight, yet the plug has handled it without a hitch—even with frequent use. I’ve been using it for several months now, and it still works just as well as it did on day one. Being able to control each outlet separately is very useful, and it works perfectly with Alexa; it responds quickly and has never lost its Wi-Fi connection. It has been sitting outside, exposed to the elements, and so far, it shows no signs of damage or malfunction—which was actually one of my main concerns at the start. All in all, if you use the Amazon ecosystem and need to control demanding outdoor equipment, this device performs admirably. It was a great purchase for me.

I've owned other outdoor WiFi-enabled smart plugs to manage my outdoor Halloween & Christmas decorations. I purchased another brand that I wound up returning both of them due to the complexity of the setup and the fact that the scheduling interface on the app was horrible and it just didn't work. The lights didn't come on and go off according to schedule. I returned them after using them for 3 weeks and purchased these. The setup on the Amazon Basics Outdoor Smart Plugs was super simple. I love the fact that it has two individually controlled outlets that you can program separately to manage two (2) different devices independently. I set these up in under a minute since I already had the Alex app installed on my iPhone, working with another device already. It took me longer to get the item out of the package than it did to set them up! I'll look at Amazon Basics products first from now on!

Plug works as expected; the problem is Alexa. It cannot cope with an instruction to turn on the plug more than 60 minutes before sunrise. So, you have to set it for a fixed time and adjust it constantly as the seasons progress. That may have been acceptable 20 years ago, but better options are available today.

So easy. Didn't have to do anything. Plugged it in to the power, opened the app on my phone, and it said; "2 new devices found. Plug 1 and plug 2." I spent hours, 2 days ago, trying to get the KASA outdoor 2 plug to work. The Meross 3 plug outdoor stopped working and wanted me to update their system. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER SMART DEVICE THAT ISN'T PART OF THE AMAZON ECHO SYSTEM. ( Especially plugs). It just isn't worth the headaches. And it was only two bucks more.

We used this to plug in some outdoor lights over the summer. It worked great, each plug has its own individual smart identity, so I could set up separate Alexa routines for each thing that was plugged in. These plugs (and all Amazon smart plugs) have enabled me to easily turn my home into a smart home on a budget. Alexa will automatically recognize a new device, so you only have to set up a routine, which is also very simple. My pool is about 60 ft. from my router, so these get great WiFi range. Great price for an invaluable item.
