Planning brings efficiency to trips. This is not a map for use on the streets. Find a floor or large table, you'll be doing this for something trip related at some point anyway, for your planning. Honestly, our first thoughts were: what wall can we put it on? Oh, and it's a Michelin, they know a thing or two about France. It's a no brainer (depending on one's needs), get the map.

Fine map of the city
This is the standard against which city maps are compared. Decent weight paper, typeface small but legible. Outstanding level of detail. If you plan on learning how to negotiate Paris, this is a must. It is not, thank goodness, a pocket map.

Excellent Map - But Huge
Even though I use and appreciate GPS, at heart I'm a map person. This is a great map - but it is very large when unfolded, so is most practical in a hotel room or somewhere you have plenty of room to fold it out. 5 stars for completeness and detail, 3 stars for convenience, so a 4-star average.

A real map!
This is a real street map of Paris! If you are looking for detail for every section of the city and environs this map is it. You can find every street, monument, museum, park, Metro stop that you want to visit.

Type size big enough to read
This is a big, fold-up map of Paris, which is what I wanted. The type is big enough to read and it is up to date with even newly added place-names included. I read a lot of novels set in Paris and I like to trace the characters' movements, so this is a pleasure to use.

This is the third Paris map I've ordered from Amazon and the first one that shows all the parts of Paris that we want to see! Perfect!

Large enough to get a clear view of the city and attractions. Great for planning. Not really a take along map, but that's not what I wanted it for.
