Are the cups durable if dropped?

Yes. I wouldn't advise dropping them, but mine ha e fallen on the floor more than a few times and are still working fine. I LOVE this set!

How do you clean these cups? Can they be submerged in water?

70% isopropyl rubbing alcohol is anti microbial and what you would want to use if you are using them on multiple people, I personally cleanse them before each use with the alcohol and after each use with warm water and dawn dishwashing soap and the allow them to air dry. There is no point in cleaning with the alcohol after washing them, as you will have to do it over again before use because you have put them back in their case. (90% isopropyl alcohol has too high of a concentration of alcohol to water ratio and it evaporates way to fast to kill any bacteria)

Can the cup be use without the white magnet needle ?

Yes. I rarely ever use the magnets.

Can these cups be boiled?

I'm pretty sure the answer would be no. I think they would Crack. I just use alcohol to clean mine.
