Works well as an external dock for SSD, HDD and M.2 drives.
Works well for SSD, HDD and M.2 drives. Cloning drives is easy with the one touch system built in to the device. The only drawback I found is that sometimes when using the USB C to USB C connector the computer doesn't always successfully connect and mount the drive in Windows. Switching to the USB C to USB A cable typically solves the problem, though it does negatively affect the transfer speed. Overall this is a solid product for the price.

Good product
Works great. It’s easy to cycle and format drives. I use it for archival storage. It’s plug and play, with fast speeds.

You have to remember to turn it on.
I had been using a spacer rack to support four SATA III SSD backup drives. They were plugged into a powered USB hub. I was concerned about how warm they were. I bought the Sabrent 4 bay docking station because it had a built in fan. It works fine. However it has separate push button switches for power and fan. They are the push on push off type. I power my system from a plug strip with a master switch. It powers the PC, monitor printer-scanner, sound bar and docking station. When I turn on the system everything except the docking station comes on. I have to remember to push the buttons to turn on the docking station. Toggle or rocker switches would be more convenient. That is my only complaint about it.

So far so good.
Easy to set up and plug in the hard drives. Working like a charm so far, but it's only been a week. So far so good.

Works great. Fast with the 10Gb/s port. Lights work nicely to show activity.

Three Units Failed, No Power — Warranty Support Refused Resolution
I’m writing this review based on my experience with the Sabrent DS-UC1B USB SATA hard drive docking station, and the pattern I’ve seen across multiple units. DS-UC1B Drive Dock Experience The dock worked normally for the first few days after purchase. After that, it sat unused for a couple of months. When I went to use it again—just after the Amazon return window had closed—the unit was completely non-functional. No power light No sound No response with or without a drive installed Tested with multiple known-good SATA drives Tested using the original USB cable and original AC power adapter The device showed no signs of life whatsoever. I went through the warranty process and received multiple replacement units (three total). Every single unit exhibited the exact same issue: no power and no LED activity under normal conditions. I tested: Multiple wall outlets The original power adapter and cables Known-working hard drives With and without drives installed Under identical conditions, other devices worked normally. The issue was isolated specifically to this dock. Warranty Experience I provided detailed troubleshooting information to support, including a full breakdown of my setup and testing process. Despite this, the final response was that the issue was “environment-related,” and no refund or alternative resolution was offered. At that point, I had: Tested three separate units Provided extensive documentation Followed all requested troubleshooting steps And still received no resolution. Broader Reliability Concerns Separately, I have also experienced failures with two Sabrent 512GB NVMe SSDs within their warranty period. While this review is focused on the DS-UC1B, that additional experience contributes to my concern about long-term reliability across the brand. Final Thoughts This is a simple plug-and-play device. It should not require extensive environmental diagnostics to function, and repeated failures across multiple units should not result in a denied warranty claim. Hardware failures can happen with any brand, but the combination of: Multiple defective units Consistent failure behavior Lack of resolution through support makes this difficult to recommend. I wanted to like this product, and on paper it’s a good value. Unfortunately, reliability and support matter more—and based on this experience, I cannot recommend the DS-UC1B.

Useful and Convenient Drive Dock Keeps Things Cool
At first I didn't notice the power button and fan.button, but once I got it activated, it works great! Double the drives of my old setup, and if I need more I can put the old one in a different port. Very useful solution for my home lab boxes that are otherwise challenging to access the internals of.
