Great purchase
The quality of this glove is amazing. Its soft enough to use right out of the box. Easy to break in into the sweet spot.

Great glove for a new catcher
We bought this for our 8 year old son, who loves catching and is ready to move up to an actual catcherโs mitt before moving to kid-pitch next year. I didnโt want to spend a fortune on a smaller sized glove, so I was pleasantly surprised by the price. With some glove oil and lots of backyard catch, the glove loosened up to be โgame readyโ over the course of a weekend. The power close made it easy enough to open and close for kid hands that my son felt confident using it behind the plate pretty immediately. Thereโs not a ton of padding in the palm, but more than enough for a kid pitcher. All in all, a great first catcherโs mitt!

Perfect size for T-Ball to Minor division, age range from 4 to 9.
This glove is designed for average growing hands. I have T-ball to Minor divisions, in which this glove will fit the average growing hands. For the ones with large hands, big boned/big body players, you definitely need to invest in 33 or larger. Even 32 won't fit properly. Way too snug. Brand new out of the box, the glove will create quite a bit of bounce. Many indicated before me that the palm padding will cause the balls to bounce out, until it's completely broken in. We noticed this on our first usages for various players. Even the stronger players had a hard time securing the balls in the pocket after catching them. The Power Close design is excellent for an immediate usages of the glove, without first breaking it in, like a normal glove. Even the weakest player (skinniest 4 years old, just starting out), could snap that glove together without much effort. Padding is perfect, from the fingers to the palm. I throw fastballs to my boy during personal practice hours, ranging between the mild 40mph, to the 70mph. Slight stings to his index finger and thumb exceeding 60mph, but paired up with the All Star Youth 7 Inner Glove, he is able to hand all speed above 60mph with no sting. I've applied a bit of Neatsfoot Compound oil, used a DIY baseball glove mallet, proceeded with 500 strong impacts between the pocket to palm areas of the glove. Wrapped the glove with the ball overnight, then tested with players again. Still had the bounce. Added another 600 strong impacts after practice, wrapped up overnight, and voila, perfect break in. As the glove continued to add another 200 to 300 hundred more strong impacts during practice, the glove became perfect. So, my suggestion is, once you have the glove, break it in immediately with the glove mallet and with a bit of conditioning oil/cream. Minimal is 1000 strong impacts to the glove's pocket-palm area to remove as much of the bounce out of the glove as possible. This glove is perfect as a transitional glove for growing catchers. Inexpensive, great with abuses, easy to manage right out of the box. With a bit of TLC, it performs splendidly.

Great little glove
For a 31.5โ glove this little glove is a beast. It came mostly broken in but definitely not game ready. The heel has a relief in it that really aids in ease of use. The padding is very sturdy. It is a true 31.5 and fits like such. I use this mitt for my minor softball daughter and it works great. With a little elbow grease and about 150 practice catches this glove was very easy to manipulate.

Quality!
Nice looking glove. It's for my grandson so I won't be using it, but I'm sure he'll love it.
