I’m very happy with this detergent. It’s perfect for keeping my black jeans and dark work clothes from fading over time. Unlike standard soaps, it’s extremely gentle on the fabric and leaves everything feeling soft, rather than stiff. It also has a nice, clean scent that isn't too overpowering. Definitely my new go-to for laundry day to keep my wardrobe looking fresh

Black clothes look like new again

I live in black. Like, not-a-single-bright-thing black. So I’ve become picky about what makes a tee look old versus perfectly lived-in. For years I treated t-shirts like disposable items — $10 buys that immediately faded, stretched, and ended up in the rag pile after a season. Spending $100 on a tee felt ridiculous when they always betrayed me by turning gray and sad within months.Then, in 2018, I discovered detergents made for dark clothes. I’ll admit I was skeptical — my grandmother ran a laundry/dry-cleaning shop and never used anything special, so I assumed it was a marketing gimmick. (Turns out she could just send everything out, so she didn’t need it.) Still, I gave Woolite Darks Defense a shot when I bought a few new black tees.Game changer. It actually works.I switched to the Woolite regimen: cold wash on delicate with the exact amount recommended, lowest dryer setting so shirts snap back into shape, then pull them out slightly damp and hang on sturdy hangers. The difference is dramatic. Tees keep their color, fit, and that just-bought look far longer than anything I’d used before. I even splurged — on sale, of course — for nicer cuts and fabrics because I finally trusted they’d last.Case in point: five Theory tees I bought in 2021 are still essentially 100% black. Five years and they haven’t betrayed me. For someone who once treated tees like consumables, that’s unheard of.If you live in dark clothes and hate watching them fade, Woolite Darks Defense is worth it. Best product for dark clothing.

This product was recommended to me by my sisters. They swear by it that it works and keeps dark clothes dark. I have not used it yet but when I do, I will give another feedback.
