Works as it should. It helped us diagnose what the drivetrain malfunction light was on our bmw to know what we needed to fix. Even gives codes down to like faulty lights and the recirculation sensor not working. It is very easy to use, was obviously compatible with our vehicle. Its really cool because it gives you the code and if you click on it it’ll give you a google search of what it is so you dont have to keep going back and forth between apps. My only issue but not really an issue, just assumed it would, is i thought it would stay up so i could continue to look at the codes inside, but as soon as you turn the car off and it “disconnects” you cant do anything with it. It has to be paired to see past scans and codes, but if thats its only fault id say thats pretty good.

I have a 2014 BMW X1 xdrive28i. The local BMW dealership quoted me almost $500 for a battery and to register it. I got on YouTube and watched a video of a battery register on a BMW with this device. I was very very skeptical. I went ahead and bought this device. I purchased a battery from Autozone. Went home installed the battery after watching a YouTube video on that part too. I installed the Ancel app on my Samsung Galzy 22 Ultra and I plugged the dongle into my OBD port. The app instantly recognized the device. I tried to register the battery on the first attempt. IT said not supported. I tried again. It said the same thing. I did not have my key fob in my car and the car wasn't on. After I put the key in the car and attempted again. It worked perfectly. The app walks you thru the entire process and it took less than one minute to complete. I had heard horror stories about registering a BMW vehicle battery without using the dealership. Things from the car not starting at, wiper blades turning on and not stopping. The radio being locked out and not working. Windows not working. I was SCARED to say the least. After the registration process. I paused for a while and bit the bullet and pushed the start button. The car started. Nothing funny happened. I turned on the wipers they worked. Headlights worked, radio worked, windows worked. Car went into reverse, drive and park. The only other thing I had to do was reset the clock. I am very very happy I made this purchase and gave Ancel a chance. This is gonna save me a ton of money in the future.

However, if you’re doing serious repair work, you might want to invest in a more robust diagnostic tool with greater functionality. Overall, it's a decent budget-friendly scanner, but don’t expect it to replace a professional-grade tool

My daughter's car is slightly older, so it has a few minor problems. Keeps throwing up an error 'check engine' we had no idea what it's doing this, taking it to my local garage they want $230 just to run a simple diagnostic test. Did some looking online and buying an OBD2 code reader, I have bought one in the past but nothing like this one from Ancel. This scanner is great for figuring what's wrong with the car the amount of detail. Was amazed at what this tool can do. Once I plugged the OBD2 scanner into the car in a matter of a few minutes the scanner was able to detect the problem. It was the fuel pump. We needed to reset the electrical parking brake (EPB) was able to do this as well, in a matter of a few clicks. So this scanner has now paid off for itself as saved me a ton of money by not having to bring the car into a shop. It's also a great tool to make sure the mechanic is being truthful, as it tells you in real-time what's wrong. Have a check engine light on? Don't worry this scanner can turn it off and it stays off! This scanner is the real deal I am so happy with it. All cars over the year 1996 will have an OBD it's usually underneath the steering wheel or near the ashtray. The number of codes and data analysis it pulls from the vehicle is insane! It does cost a little bit of money but in the long run, will save me the money takes up little to no room. I domt need a power source to use it (the car will need a battery) build quality A+ it has a rubber-like coating on it guessing for falls and wear and tear. I have now been using it with all my friend's cars and family, so definitely putting it to good use. I like how the user-friendly interface is not complicated.

Je l'ai reçu 2 jours après l'avoir commandé. J'avais un défaut au niveau de l'appel SOS qui s'affichait en permanence sur mon X1 18i de 2017. Je l'ai branché puis configuré en français. Ensuite j'ai sélectionné le modèle de mon véhicule et lancé un diagnostic. Il a détecté 3 défauts dont le SOS. J'ai ensuite demandé à supprimer tous les défauts. J'ai refait un diagnostic et plus aucun défaut ! J'ai roulé un moment pour voir et pas de problème à signaler. Je trouve que ce produit est super pour le prix. Simple à utiliser Et il fait très bien son job.
