Carhartt Men's Rain Defender Relaxed Fit Lightweight Jacket

5/5 Stars Have had the jacket for at least 7+ months. It's a very great jacket. Not only does it look very nice, but it also serves its purpose when it rains. Very lightweight just as described. Definitely worth the price in my opinion. I've put it through the washer several times and it still repels rain amazingly good. No complaints here.

Greatest rain jacket I own. Has pockets - is just like a jacket , and not made of that horrible material. Can use it as a windbreaker - outside layer in the cold - or as a rain jacket. Really a great jacket highly recommend - durable too - I use it for work almost every day.

Just got this, so no long-term experience to offer, but initial reaction is very favorable. It is lightweight, so wasn't expecting a lot of warm. Have only been out in light rain so far, but it kept me perfectly dry. Quality seems good for the price. Lots of discussion in the reviews about sizing, so here's another data point for what it is worth. I'm 5' 10", 215 lbs, 36" waist, with fairly broad shoulders. With some shirts and some jackets, I often have to go to an XL to get enough room in the shoulders and upper back. Having read the other reviews, I ordered a large in this jacket. The fit is about right for me while wearing a heavy long-sleeve shirt underneath it, but would probably be too tight with a heavy sweatshirt under it. The sleeves are a little on the long side, but manageable with the adjustable cuffs. The jacket length is about right for me. I generally wear a baseball cap when outdoors and the hood fits real well over one. Happy with the jacket so far. Although the jacket fits me fine, I marked the fit as "somewhat large", when compared to other garments marked as a Large size. Hope this helps someone.

Bought this for husband who had a 20+yr old lined windbreaker that was at the end. We have looked at many, most of which were not lined, hung too short, etc. took a gamble on ordering without seeing and it is perfect! Lining is light, fit is great with tail being slightly longer. The best part is that it is water resistant yet still breatheable. And it looks good on.

Got the 3xl tall because I'm 5'11 and 250 lbs. (Dad bod) Jacket fits good, but is extremely thin. Not as long as my 3xl tall tees, but long enough. Durability is 50/50 due to the thinness. Walking in it sounds like shwish shwish. Pockets are pretty big. Definitely carry your lunch. Hood is good. Solid color is a plus.

literally just got this handed to me by the delivery driver and ripped it open so fast. i’m so impressed by the quality of this jacket, not only the material it’s made of and both how light and sturdy it feels, but also the zipper looks like it’ll never catch and get messed up. super easy to zip and unzip very smoothly. i feel like this should have cost way more than i paid, so value is definitely awesome here. pockets are large and looks like they can hold a good bit of stuff. overall it looks amazing and i can’t wait to gift this to my dad for christmas!

Super, lightweight, hooded water resistant shell. I bought one in every size for all three guys in my life. This is the small, and the model is slim, 6' feet tall, 151 pounds, 30" waist, 36" chest. The medium was much roomier and he prefers the small but might like the medium if wearing a sweatshirt underneath. Great layering piece for wind and a lighter rain. Comparing it to a North Face of the same style in the closet, it's really similar in style and velcro wrist closures (very nice option), but this feels a little softer and I'd reach for this one first. North Face has an extended "bill" on the hood which is a nicer feature, but I still really like the fit and feel of this one better. The blue is gorgeous and bright, but this one is a really nice sage color. Totally recommend this.

I purchased this jacket for my nephew, he loves it. He thinks it is comfortable and fits him nicely. It isn’t heavy but protect from rain; in Oregon, our weather has been mild this winter, so a heavy winter jacket is unnecessary. However, he can wear a hoodie under this jacket for extra warmth. My nephew is 6’2” and 212lbs. He has very long arms and a long torso. The XL Long fits him perfectly!

I love this jacket! Light weight wind breaker with style. It's not meant to keep you warm, just to keep the wind and rain out, and boy does it even keep the rain OUT! Water beads off the material like it's made of glass! The material breaths well too, I've never felt sweaty or sticky when warmed up or when its wet out. 5 stars, highly recommended.

Normalmente utilizo la talla XL en la mayor parte de prendas de otras marcas, en Carhartt con la L es más que suficiente. Marca pecho de 112 cm pero da para unos cuantos más. Tengo otras prendas de esta marca y son perfectas, recomendables para personas que no encuentran tallas adecuadas en otras marcas, son en general muy amplias. Elige siempre una menos de lo que utilizas....

Great jacket but size felt off. I have Carhartt hoodies and larges are a bit too big, medium fit perfect. So I ordered a medium jacket. It fit snug, and probably a large would have fit better. Other than that, great jacket. Definitely defended against some light rain over the past weekend.

leicht und funktionell. einzig negativer punkt- der reissverschluss fängt sich im oberen bereich leicht mit dem textil. das nervt. sonst alles gut. gewohnt carhartt, sind die teile eher grösser geschnitten. qualität ist gut. jederzeit wieder! wann produziert carhartt endlich für etwas kleinere männer?!!
