Good quality kit, steep learning curve
Not an easy thing to do, but I decided it was worth my time to install my own solar panel bird guard. $50 vs. $1500. And just in time, too, as the local pigeon population had decided to nest underneath. The metal netting and fasteners are black (except for the stainless steel rods) which matches my panels. I expect the bird guard to last the lifetime of my system or roof, whichever comes first. A word of caution, though, as you can easily damage your panels or yourself in the process; do not attempt this on a sloping roof unless you are fit, cautious, and adventurous.

Good product, hooks are strong and push grommets work well to secure mesh to solar panel frame.

Protects your roofing
Great product to protect underneath my solar panels .. seems pidgions love to crawl underneath and can destroy you roofing .. this protects it, and easy to install

Great Product!
Pretty straight forward to install. Metal mesh is welded really well. Fasteners feels strong and the quantity was more than enough. Highly recommend if you want to take on this project.

Worth the money
So glad i did this myself. Single story so no issues getting on the roof. Guard is easy to work with and cut as well. Clips snap into place like they are supposed to. Good price and i have no more pigeons under my solar panels.

Not so corrosion resistant
Pros: Feels sturdy. Bends in shape and easy to cut. Cons: Visible rust in 1 week of outdoor exposure.

Decent quality mesh. I am using it for a different purpose so am not using the j hooks.
