The pouring on this is amazing for matcha but if you’re someone who likes a quick pour and be done with it, this might not be for you. If you try to pour faster it will pour out of other places and likely get everywhere so this kind of spout definitely requires some patience. I personally love it and the size is great, it can heat about 4 cups of water at a time. The app is awesome and the good feature has come in handy so many times as I often forget that I turned the kettle on. Also being able to set specific temperatures and save settings is also such a great feature. It’s easy to clean, looks great and functions fantastically!

Works great, heats quite quickly, pretty easy to pour with good control. The app isn't necessary but was very easy to connect (though I already had the govee app for some other devices beforehand), personally I really appreciate the convenience of being able to automate it, but it is definitely entirely usable without it. Design is solid, doesn't get too hot to the touch except maybe the lid if you block the steam vents. I only put water in it and it won't boil off so I haven't really had to clean it. Only downside is it's a little small, 0.8 liters, which seems very comparable to similar gooseneck kettles but if you make a lot of coffee or tea at once or for several people, especially if you preheat your vessels it can be a little limiting.

I love this kettle, it has such an elegant design. It feels like it’s made well and will last years to come. It works quickly and efficiently heating your water to the desired temp. The way it notifies you in app when the water is done is pretty awesome too. I own MANY Govee products and have never been disappointed. I’ve only had a couple of their products fail on me after some time and their customer service replaced it promptly.

I previously owned a Fellow Stagg EKG+ kettle. I loved the ability to turn it on using an app since I work on the 2nd floor, and my kitchen is on the 1st floor. Overall, I really liked the Stagg kettle, but my wife hated it since it has a very low flow rate out of the spout. It is good for making pour-over coffee, but it's annoying for her when she makes tea. Our Stagg EKG+ finally died and I had to find a replacement. Stagg has a new updated kettle (EKG Pro), but it's more expensive and has the same restricted flow rate. I looked around and it's surprising how few WiFi enabled electric kettles exist. I finally found the Govee and I was suspicious since it is really affordable. I was used to overpaying for WiFi-enabled devices. I bought it and I couldn't be happier - it is perfect for me and my wife who drinks tea! Pros: 1. Remote on/off via WiFi and the Govee app 2. Ability to schedule in advance using the app 3. Decent flow rate (much faster than the Stagg EKG kettle) 4. The "Hold temperature" button works even if you take the kettle off and put it back on the base. Some kettles turn off the "hold" when you take the kettle off the base. For pour-over coffee drinkers, it's common pre-wet the filter and pre-wet the coffee grounds before doing the full pour of water. This means you'll take the kettle off the base at least 3 times when making coffee. It's nice to maintain the "hold" of the temperature throughout the process. 5. The kettle heats water quickly 6. The app is easy to use - both initial setup of the Kettle to WiFi and ongoing use is simple in the app 7. The kettle is a great value - affordable with nice quality. It is definitely a much better value than the Stagg EKG kettle 8. It can connect to Amazon Echo and Google devices (I don't use this, but it's possible) Cons: 1. The app allows you to schedule heating of water in advance, but it is a one-time schedule. You can't (yet) set up a recurring schedule (e.g., heat up water every morning at 5:45am). 2. The volume of the kettle is 0.8 L which is small. It's enough to make a single cup of coffee or tea, but just barely. You'll have to refill each time - slow if you are making more than one cup at a time. 3. The looks are just ok to me - I think the Stagg EKG kettle looks better, but this is subjective and doesn't affect the taste of my coffee :-) In short, I recommend the Govee kettle and I'm very happy with the app and remote WiFi features!

I really like this Govee Smart Electric Kettle. The variable temperature control is spot-on, the gooseneck pour is smooth and precise, and the WiFi/app integration actually works well for scheduling and remote control. Build quality feels solid, it heats up quickly, and it looks sleek on the counter (see photo). I’d be more inclined to give it five stars without hesitation, but my first unit started developing glitches after just a couple of weeks with random system failures and it would sometimes refuse to heat at all unless I power-cycled it. It was frustrating enough that I had to request a replacement. Now I’m in my second week with the new replacement kettle and so far, so good. No glitches, the smart features are working reliably, and I’m really enjoying using it every day. If this one continues to perform like this, it’s easily a 5-star kettle for anyone who wants a precise, app-controlled gooseneck kettle. Recommended… I just hope you get a good unit on the first try!

Five stars!! Absolutely!!! I had previously used this product while visiting friends out of state and really liked theirs. It was an easy decision to buy one for ourselves. We use it multiple times a day and it’s holding up well! Very quiet, not heavy when filled, and has a nice matte black finish on the outside. There is no metallic or any kind of smell/taste. If we drip any water on the plate, we wipe it up quickly. I originally wanted to put this on a coffee bar along the wall, but it is advised not to put it anywhere where the cord is hanging down. So it sits on my counter. The multiple heat settings make it perfect for preparing tea or chai, and handy for when hot water is needed. We are very happy with this product!

Update: I have been using this daily for the past few months. Has been working really well. Fast to heat up and precise. It works well and looks well. I usually don’t use the app function except for some settings for the DIY temp and the hold function and I did that in the beginning and now I just use the buttons which is great. I also got used to pouring with it in a few days and now have good control and really like it. Would highly recommend again especially if you can get it on sale. This is an initial impression after using it for a week or so and will update this review after more testing / time to comment on longevity. Now for my first impression: I really like it ! It looks good and I really like the black color. It does however feel a bit heavier than I anticipated but I got used to it. No leakage and heats up really fast. It’s accurate and reliable. Connection with the app was very simple and quick. Controlling it from the app is also great and easy to do. The temp range is plenty for my needs. And finally it is a great value for the price I paid. The only issue I had with it is the pouring was too fast and the control is a bit more difficult than anticipated. I have gotten better since I used it multiple times and can now control it a bit more but it definitely isn’t as easy as pouring from a fellow Stagg for example, but this is a much more expensive kettle so that is acceptable. Otherwise, I would definitely recommend it. Will update this review again after long term use / any issues that arise.

This is very easy to use and to set up. Instructions are clear. The design is sleek and fits nicely on the counter. I love that I can use Alexa to set routines. My favorite part though, is how awesome the app is. It shows you the exact temperature of the water and you can turn it on from your phone and it visually shows you it’s working.
