KabelDirekt – RCA/Phono Y Cable – 1×2 – 10ft

It's crazy some of the prices for cables so it's great to see cost effective options out there that are still solidly built. This cable from KabelDirekt definitely fits that bill. I got this cable to go from a single sub out on a Wiim Amp Pro to a vintage Atlantic Technology sub with dual inputs. It's not totally necessary but I like to keep my connections clean, so I went with the Y cable. This cable has a thick, strong, yet flexible jacket that has some serious heft to it. I think the build quality is immediately apparent from it. My plugs were all clean so it was finished well and of high quality. Connections were tight on both the brand new Wiim Amp Pro and the 30+ year old AT sub. I had temporarily put in a really old cable and, it might be placebo effect, but I think the sub was clearer and my measurements showed a cleaner transition in the crossover to the mains (the Wiim is managing that crossover). Pleased with the buy at a great price at under $1/ft. - definitely recommend.

I used two sets of these cables to run from my Sony 7.1 Surround Sound receiver to the Polk Audio subwoofers. These cables provided the ability to connect both and use both right and left audio inputs of each sub ( the receiver has two pre-amp outputs. These cables have three primary features I find worthy. 1. The RCA male connectors on both the single end and dual end fit snugly with no noticeable movement bt they are not excessively difficult to connect. I have tried other brands and while they also fit snugly they were so difficult to connect i was worried something might twist or break in the process of connecting them. 2. The cables feel like they are of high quality. Thick enough yet they maintain flexibility and easily routed behind or through carpeting furniture etc. They don't kink...they maintain their composure even at sharp angles. 3. They look professional and even with close inspection the fitted ends and very cleanly connected to the cables. They don't look cheap and they also don't draw attention. Perfect for my tastes. I would recommend these to anyone searching for quality low loss RCA cables at a more than reasonable price. As for Db loss or sonic transparency compared to other products in the price range, I cant say better/worse or no different. Bear in mind these do not work like a stereo phono jack that splits left and right audio to separate jacks on the other end. The single end splits the signal identically to the two jacks on the other end. Conversely It could also be used to take two sources ( one output to each of the connectors on the dual end) and combine them into one.

I wasn't expecting the cable to be this high quality for the price I paid. The construction is just as good as cables costing 3 times as much. The splicing of 1 into two is very nicely done not cheaper or overly built in any way. The cable its self has a very good weight to it but not overly heavy yet still flexible enough. Connection to the RCA ports is nice and secure just tight enough for a good connection but not so tight that it connecting is a pain. As far as sound quality goes its sounds good to me for what ever that's worth. This cable is connected to a powered subwoofer on one end and a vintage Nakamichi receiver on the other.

I needed a 1-to-2 RCA interconnect to link my REL Q Series sub to the Vizeo sound bar I use for my downstairs TV (yeah, I know I'm hooking a High End sub to a mass market A/V trinket which is like bringing a bear gun to a pigeon shoot, but I'm playing the hand I was dealt). As a recovering audiophile who appreciates what a difference quality cables can make, I wanted to do it right without overdoing it, and that's when I remembered the offerings from KabelDirekt. Having been a sometime reviewer of audio equipment for a respected magazine a while back, I recalled how KableDirect products had begun to kick up some dust as "high end worthy" cables at prices too sane for sonic snobs. I never got a chance to try them then, but I'm pleased I have now. The cable has a pleasing heft, solid terminations of sleek gray metal with snug, gold flashed RCA inputs. It's a simple but reassuringly over engineered piece of equipment in its own right, as your cables should be. The sound? Again, it's not the optimal setup at the moment, but your ears would never know it. The old REL is as musical as ever and a casual viewing area now has the bottom end authority of an iMax theater. And the cable (or in this case the Kabel) is a critical if too often overlooked link in equipment performance. Highly recommended for the perfectionist on a budget. And most perfectionists fit that description these days.

First, let's get myth out of the way. With any kind of audio cable you are unlikely to actually hear any difference between extremely cheap and very expensive. So why did I choose KabelDirekt instead of generics? The combination of build quality, looks, and price point add up to be a winner. Well built cables such as those produced by KabelDirekt will last longer especially when you do a lot of "plugging and unplugging" of the cables. Look at the build quality around the join area between the wire and the ends. KabelDirekt gets an A+ for this quality. Normal wear will not be an issue for these. The second point is how they look. Even from the pictures here on Amazon, you see clearly a quality looking looking product. Hey, I have thousands in my setup and the aesthetics are important too. Why should my expensive phonograph have cheap looking cables. These cables are aesthetically pleasing yet not gaudy. You may notice them but not for the wrong reason. They simply look great. At this price point they are a bargain. One final thing. When you want to know the brand, you can look closely at them and see it. However, let's just say you wont see any "monster" size printing or logos that make your man cave look like something out of NASCAR.

I sent the item back for a full refund & cost of postage paid by Amazon which i was most grateful for.I sold my subwoofer after i had purchased these cables & the 2 new subwoofers i purchased did not use this type of cable for connection.The Kabledirekt cables looked very high quality but unfortunately i could not use them.

Whenever I am asked for a personal User review of a Product I have purchased, it has always been my policy to ignore, if I have nothing positive to write about the product. But this Cable is an exception. Extremely deceptive and very unimpressive Product. Quite possibly the most unimpressive and useless Cable I have purchased in my life – out of over a thousand Cables of different types. Strongly NOT recommended.

Decent quality cable. It works well. I don't have any issues with feedback or humming. I'm using it to bi-amp my speakers.
