Have struggled for years with histamine intolerance. After trying so many supplements this for me is the best to use when the meal has slightly higher levels of histamine than I would normally tolerate .

If you don't produce DAO on your own (not too rare a condition, unfortunately), this enzyme helps a lot. (I found out from my Nutrition Genome test that I lack the genetics to produce my own DAO). My allergies (mold, dust, chicken, mango) were making me sick, and with each episode of reaction, my body couldn't metabolize all the histamine I'd made! So I'd just get sicker, now dealing with histamine overload. I know that there are people even more sensitive, who cannot eat certain histamine heavy foods. And this might help them as well. Check with a really good Functional Health expert. It was my wonderful San Mateo based chiropractor who told me about this supplement. It is NO WAY the cheapest DAO enzyme available, but it works! I reduced my allergic episodes from about 5 or 6 a year, to about 1 a year. And, I have to say, since I've been on this one (and I forget to take it every day), I was sick only once, and it lasted a mere 2 days instead of the usual debilitating 10. Love it.

I had been suffering from moderate to sometimes severe allergies like runny nose with severe itching in the internal nose so intense that it was causing insomnia. Sinusitis on a daily basis. Went to my doctor about it and she couldn’t believe how inflamed my nose was so of course the recommended normal OTC meds. Hundreds of dollars spent on expensive Zyrtec and nasal sprays only to get a few hours of reprieve. I knew it was histamines but never thought about food products that cause this. I have celiac disease so already have a known inflammatory problem. I just stumbled upon a write up on histamine response that triggered me to try this. This was a life changer for real! Even after the first dose I noticed a difference. I have had 4 nights of continuous 8 hours of sleep. I’m not sneezing all day and constantly blowing my nose. This May not work for everyone but I can tell you I am sold and it literally has given me the freedom to feel normal and not constantly apologizing for my allergies to people when they look at you crazy like you have a virus!

Good product

Taking this supplement has truly changed my life. I take it when I eat foods that I would normally react to due to having a histamine intolerance and my symptoms are basically negligible. Its not a cure for histamine intolerance, but it has done wonders for me with the side effects of consuming high histamine foods/drinks. The only downside to these are the price.... at $1/pill they're definitely not cheap, but if you have the money I wouldn't hesitate trying them out and see if they help with your symptoms.
