I like Julio Iglesias music!, and this is one of my favorite albums i've ever listened!... all that caribbean latin sounds all mixed-up in this album makes Julio iglesias so special and relaxing for my ears!... Thank you Amazon to sell it at a good price!, hope to get all the albums from Julio Iglesias.. This time i ordered six Julio Iglesias albums: Carretera, divorcio, hombre solo, romantic classics, america and Crazy!. AMAZINGamazon shipped all items on time and i received at door three days after i bought them!.... Dont hesitate to buy them all!! very good for your music library

Almost everything JI recorded was outstanding, classic, and done at the highest, Quality, level yet, this later recording ranks up there imo, with his earlier BEST Releases. Great, ever smooth & passionte of voice still, the songs, arrangements, musicians, ALL result in a career defining, release! I'm a long time semi-pro solo singer myself, and i only wish i had his talent, passion for great songs done w/the best support, and long-lasting, very successful, career!! Julio...Julio.....las baladas con influencia de la musica tropical del caribe se tornan románticas, agradables, el susurro típico de la voz de julio forman un entorno agradable al oido........es un "Derroche" de musica para disfrutar con la pareja y construir noches romanticas de fantasía.......rumbas.....cosas de la vida......baila morena....la carretera.....vuela alto......y julio si que sabe volar alto.......! Only 10 selections on the disc. Would expect more songs. However, the songs are very lovely and usual great Julio delivery.

Auch schon 10 Jahre alt, ist dieses Album für mich dennoch ein Highlight im Schaffen des Spaniers. Der Mann hat einfach Grandezza !Wenn einem hier was Spanisch vorkommt, dann, weil er in dieser Sprache singt. Gitarren fördern nur diese Atmosphäre.Mein Lieblingssong ist der mit stampfenden Beats ausgestattete "Agua Dulce, Agua Sala". Tolle Background- Vocals !Zweiter Lieblings- Track ist "Rumbas" (Medley) mit türkisch anmutenden Klängen zu Beginn. Toller Einsatz von Gitarren.Der Titelsong "La Carretera" ist auf dem Album "En Francais" auf Französisch enthalten.Das Cover der CD, die ich bei Amazon übrigens gebraucht erstanden habe, ist hochklassig, wo es sonst oft nur einfallslos und billig wirkt.Für einen großen Star wie Iglesias könnte man ruhig mehr Aufwand betreiben und ihn besser in Szene setzen.Songtexte sind vorhanden. Wer sich also die Texte übersetzen mag oder sie sogar versteht, hat viel Freude. Aber kann es bei Julio um etwas Anderes als Liebe gehen ?Fazit: Kaufen, kaufen, kaufen !

I used to own this as a cassette tape, and liked it very much. I thought it was time to treat myself to the c.d. version so I can be reminded how smooth his voice is. My music choice is usually clasical, but I do like the Latin sound, as you will see from another review of mine (Milos -Latino, by Milos KaradaglicJulios did not disappoint!
