Does not fit the Gen 2 model Nest Hub.
The Nest Hub Gen 2 does not sit in this wall mount. It hangs out and a feather touch sends it flying to the floor. I spent an hour trying to get it to securely fit in the mount to no avail. I wound up using trunking and super glue to adhere it to the inside of the wall mount. Not recommended unless you're prepared to use some ad hoc solution to keep it in place. Additionally, it would have been expensive even it had have worked. Not impressed at all.

Fantastic!
Easy to use wall mount with simple to follow instructions and extension cord which we really needed. Love our nest too. Mounted in wall cavity, the bass is boosted and the nest is not in the way on our bench.

Does what it is supposed to do
It is what it is, it does it well, instruction are clear and the quality is good.

Great idea, mid-execution could have been better designed
So the product fits and clips onto the nest hub out of the box quite well, and the end product looks quite nice on my wall, but it was fiddly and definitely not a well executed product that I'd proudly sell for over $50 AUD. First issue was once I cut exactly the shape given in the template on the wall, it was a little too small, which required alot of time trimming and making good, which is quite difficult and messy to do with dry wall. Keep in mind that I'm sticking the template on the wall, tracing an outline (which is larger than the actual template by a tiny bit) then cutting to that drawn line - it's still too small - ??? The other thing was, when you want a tight pressure fit for a product like this, the product can't be this flexible. The tinniest little bit of deflection and I'm talking maybe 0.5mm or less means the clips at the top don't clip onto the hub, which is probably what all the other comments refer to when they say nothing holds the display on. It took about 20-30 minutes of fine tuning with a small drywall sawblade for me to get it exactly right and even then the only way I could get it clipped onto the display was by mounting the nest hub first - then pushing it in together, which prevented me from clipping the mount to the wall with the 4 given clips (probably a good thing, see below). Those clips by the way will be an issue for people down the line, when they want to remove the mount, say when a new generation smart display comes out. I tried putting one of them on, and the only way I could get it off was by sliding a piece of thin plastic (from behind/back side) under the teeth on both sides and then pulling it out that way. That would be impossible when it's fully mounted. Which means probably you'd have to break either the wall/mount to remove it. I think it would honestly be been better to just screw in a couple of locations around the mount which would be A-not visible if placed correctly, and B-easy to remove. I also think increasing the thickness of the product would allow for less flexing - which affects the pressure fit/clip to the nest hub. Those top clips into the nest hub have to be reworked too, not great tbh. Oh and the 'you can still reach the buttons' is only 50% true. Yes they're visible but when it's on the wall I swear the only way you can actually reach them is with a paperclip or something super thin. I think it's still the cleanest finished 'off the shelf' product that doesn't require the end user to buy a 3D printer and work on a self developed in wall mount. For $50, and the difficulty to get a really nice install I can see alot of people struggle with this. Hope the manufacturer takes the feedback and improves in a gen-2 bracket!
