works time after time. Good quality 1

Not very loud, but that's no big surprise given its small size
This is a simple alarm, and it works just like described. My only complaint is that I thought it would be louder based on hearing other things that are in the range of 120dB. The LED lights also aren't terribly bright. However, it's a reasonably good emergency alarm for its size (it doesn't have AA or AAA batteries to draw power from). It's a good portable, wearable option if you don't need to alert someone at great distance or don't want to deal with the larger sizes with bigger batteries..

Stopped working
I thought this product would be great for taking on my runs. It worked for a month and then stopped working. My sister bought the same item and it stopped working after a day.

Alarm is great, strap leaves a lot to be desired. Long time customer of vigilant alarms
I have purchased a few of the vigilant alarms for my father. I can easily hear the alarm all over my home. When I seen this alarm in a watch style version I quickly purchased it. With my dads Parkinsons progressing it’s so much easier for him to wear a watch then fumble with the neck lanyard. I was really disappointed in the quality of the strap the Velcro has completely come undone. I was expecting better quality, like the previous lanyard version we have.

Good personal alarm
My husband has Parkinson's disease. Now when he falls, he can alert me. I can hear the alarm all over the house (2 story, 1400 sq ft each story) but it is not loud enough to carry over to the neighbors'.

Bright & Loud
This works surprisingly well as a safety alarm, and certainly is attention getting. The flashing lights mode are also a nice addition and very bright. I used these during the Hood to Coast race, and found the battery held up the whole way for our team. The downsides were few, but notable. The strap is adjustable, but not stretchy so I eventually moved it to a bra strap since hands and wrists swell during a long race. The lights and siren aren't labeled, so I accidentally hit the siren a couple of times turning it on and off.

Comes with an old battery ready to die on you
Mine came with an old battery. Worked OK in the beginning, then only chirping, then died. All within a month of non-use really. I replaced the battery and now it is great. However, the wristband is very complicated and the extra is useless.

3 stars because when I opened the package and tested ...
3 stars because when I opened the package and tested it, it worked well and loud. But 2 weeks later it isn't working or I guess I need to buy new batteries already.

Works perfectly for its intended purpose.

They look exactly as shown, came with batteries ready to use. Very sleek but subtle. At first I LOVED them. I tested the alarm and found the audio could be louder. It's not as loud as my wife's current alarm. But still enough to get attention, I believe, so still good enough. I also like the light up feature, the alarm has flashing white lights, but can also have just flashing lights by themselves. Handy if searching for that person when its dark. I likely still would have purchased more. HOWEVER, while testing the alarm my dog jumped up to check it out and knocked it out of my hands about 2 and half feet to the wood floor. Not far at all and not hard at all, they're even lighter than typical watches, and it stopped working entirely. I attempted to open it, possibly just knocked batteries loose, and the screw were already stripped. They're miniature Phillips bits (that can also fit miniature Robinson) but so hollowed out I had to jam a flat head in there to work them. So that was frustrating as hel-.... Heck! Fought with that, rearranged batteries, everything looked good and in place. Still doesn't work. Lasted all of 25 seconds. How are these expected to last if they can't handle that? Are they not meant for children also? And for "bad" situations? A kidnapper or rapist could simply flick you on the wrist and no more alarm? A struggle could just result in the alarm breaking and shutting off?? Edit/update: I discovered the issue was the batteries are not secure enough. I was able to tighten the battery brackets by hand, and then used some small pieces of cardboard on top of the batteries to add pressure when putting the back on. Seem to be working now.

Not a good start. Took it out of the box and heard a rattle in one of them. Opened it up to find an extra screw. No spot for it so it was just left in there during assembly. Tested both buttons on both alarms, they worked ok. Could be louder though. Lights flash when the button is pushed so they are not good for illuminating anything. The red button activates the lights, which seems backwards to me. White for light, red for alarm... No? We shall see how long these last and will update review accordingly. Update: after having these not quite 2 months with not much use the Velcro they used for the straps has literally disintegrated and it also pulled away from the strap. These are garbage!

The alarm was suppose to come with batteries in it. It is impossible to open it unless I get a special screwdriver to open it and then have to buy batteries for it. Very disappointing.
