Macrame: The Craft of Creative Knotting for Your Home

This book is great! My art teacher had this book in her class and I wanted to get one myself to keep at home. The instructions are clear and the visuals are nice to look at since I am a visual learner. This book is nice and I have also bought part 2 of this book as well. ❤️

I'm old enough to remember doing 70's style macrame projects (including a hanging table in olive green poly rope...ugh!) These books are soooo not that! Thank goodness! I bought this book as well as Macrame 2 and love, love, love them both. If you like the boho style you will love them too. The books themselves are beautifully put together. Clear beautifully pictures and precise illustrations and instructions so any project is doable. I'm mostly excited for the projects. When the books first arrived and I was leafing through them I found several projects in each book that I will be tackling. If you're not into the boho look, these books are worth it just for the instructions and illustrations for all the knots you'd ever need for any macrame project. I can't recommend these books enough. Get both!

I like that the knot diagrams are easy to understand. I like the variety of projects and I can't wait to make more items. So far I have only made a plant hanger for my fern. I get complements on it! I am going to do a banner next and hang it over my doorway. I do wish there were some variations on the same projects, for example a door hanging that goes to the floor, with adjustments for wider door, or a shorter hanging, etc. Also a lot of the projects use rope varying up to 5 mm. It would be cool if you could skip strait to the projects by rope width, using up what you already have. Either way, I am very inspired by this book and this art form and can't wait until my next batch of cord arrives so I can get started on one of the wall hangings!

The instructions for making most knots and for using the patterns were much easier for me to follow. I really appreciate the color coding of the strands to be able to make the more complicated knots. The patterns were all interesting and included fairly simple designs, to the more complicated. I only wish there were more pattern options in the book.

I JUST got the book, basically a half hour ago & I've paged through the whole thing. It looks too be exactly what I've been looking for. Explains material, good description/diagrams of the knots & patterns of things that I really like. I've been looking for plant hangers specifically, which there are some patterns. It also has other patterns that I really like. I can't wait to try some of them!! Also, I am new to macrame & I honestly think this will be a great book to get started with! I can't wait!

I’ve enjoyed this book so far. I’ve had it a couple weeks and and in the last couple days I’ve started a couple plant hangers, waiting for some beads to come to finish them. The instructions in this book are very clear! I had tried a wall hanging following a you tube video and it got frustrating. I much prefer a book I can look down at if I get confused. As a complete beginner I would recommend this book, and for a more experienced macrame artist you may still find some knots you don’t know or want some instruction on. The projects are cute and I’m excited to try more!

Easy to follow instructions, great photos.

This book shows you all the basic knots with diagrams on how to tie them. But I found it hard to follow the directions on how to tie the different knots. The patterns are nice but I think kind of difficult for a beginner.

I was initially afraid that this book would be bland to read through, but I was proven wrong. There is a lot of great stuff in this book including specific knot guides, patterns, projects to follow, and more. A great choice.

Tra l'altro, lei è anche una nota artista su Instagram e potete trovare tutti i suoi lavori e seguirla su @createholic. Il libro è ricco di illustrazioni che insegnano dalle basi come intrecciare e aiuta a realizzare dei Macramè veramente meravigliosi. Le fotografie che mostrano il lavoro accostato agli ambienti di casa sono molto attuali. Un libro ispirante!

Un livre très bien fait, réalisé dans le souci du détail pour une bonne réalisation des ouvrages proposés, mais également pour permettre une bonne autonomie sur des réalisations perso. Le livre est tout en anglais mais assez simple pour quelqu'un qui a quelques bases, cela porte un côté ludique supplémentaire :) Je le recommande fortement.

O Livro é super atual. Produção feita há cerca de 5 anos, é todo ilustrado com esquemas de como fazer passo a passo e fotos lindas. Minha esposa, desde que o livro chegou, está encantada com ele. Minha esposa não fala inglês mas mesmo assim ela manuseia e apreende as ilustrações com muita facilidade. Foi uma excelente escolha e melhor do que qualquer revista que ela já tenha visto sobro o assunto em português.
