GREAT machine
Bought this particular one (Sodastream ART model) after reading the reviews and rating in Which Magazine, I almost bought a different model that was almost £30 less, but went back to read the reviews of the different models properly and realised it was worth paying a bit more, I have Carpal Tunnel, this system is better than the Terra model, it was easy to put together, very easy to use, you insert the bottle, push back, and regulate the amount of bubbles by how many times you lower the handle on the side, is quick, just lowering the handle for a second as many times as you want (3 for light bubbles, 4 or 5 if wanting more bubbles) then you wait until no noise is being released, un-hook the bottle and you are ready to drink . There are days in which I want less bubbles, other times more, and this works perfectly well. The gas cylinder lasted us 2 months, I use it very often so that is a very good value for money . They recommend that one have a bottle of cold water ready, as it apparently works better on very cold water, so I tried to buy another one of the big bottles (one comes with the machine), but their store has only the option to buy two together, having a 3rd one would be useless for us, so I didn't, bought the small bottle instead, which I didn't find very useful, it gets you under half a litre if you want to use it with the machine, (there is a max line as there needs to be space for when you put the gas in) I keep needing to fill it up many times a day, but the machine is great. I was buying packs of 6 plastic, 500ml sparkling water very often, going through at least 12 to 18 plastic bottles in a week, so the Sodastream is now helping us to help the planet (even though we recycle, not sure where the recycling loads go...) and saves us trips to the recycling bins, plus in the long run the machine will be saving us money, even though I was buying those 6-500ml bottles for £1.39, in the long run there are more advantages on having the machine. We just signed up for a delivery subscription for the gas bottle in the actual Sodastream website, I first thought we should have looked here in their Amazon store, thinking maybe as Prime customers it would be cheaper here, but they actually cost almost DOUBLE the price here, so we are very, very happy with our decision, so, overall, couldn't be happier! If you are thinking on getting one, look up each model, read carefully to see which one is better for you, as I said, I almost bought the Terra model because it was almost £30 cheaper, but the advantages of the Sodastream ART one are way better for me, so it was worth paying the difference.

Quality Comes at a Price
The SodaStream Art Sparkling Water Maker offers a convenient way to enjoy sparkling water at home, but it does come with a somewhat higher price tag. Here's my take on it: This sparkling water machine is undeniably a game-changer when it comes to enjoying effervescent refreshments without the need for store-bought carbonated beverages. It's an eco-friendly and cost-effective solution that can save you money in the long run, but the initial investment might be a bit steep for some. The package includes a 1L fizzy water bottle, which is a practical size for personal servings. The carbonation level is customizable, putting you in control of your drink's fizziness. The machine itself boasts a sleek and modern design that complements your kitchen decor. The versatility to add flavors and syrups is a big plus, allowing you to tailor your beverages to your taste preferences. This flexibility is especially appealing for those who enjoy experimenting with different flavors and creating their own concoctions. While the SodaStream Art Sparkling Water Maker offers quality and convenience, it's important to weigh the cost against the benefits. If you're committed to reducing your environmental footprint and enjoy sparkling water regularly, the investment can be worthwhile. However, if budget is a primary concern, there are more affordable options for quenching your thirst.

Easy to use and looks great
I have been debating buying a SodaStream as I like sparkling water but wasn't sure if it was worth the cost but I'm very impressed with this machine, and wish I had bought it sooner. First off it's very quick and easy to insert the gas cylinder, just remove the back lift the handle and drop in the cylinder, it takes seconds to change and no struggling. The bottles are also easy to attach to the machine and, once filled to the line it's a simple and easy pull down lever to carbonate the water. I didn't bother buying the package which included the syrup flavours as I wasn't sure if they would taste like the real thing however I have added the carbonated water to the squash I had in the cupboard one of them being Vimto and the taste was just as good as the fizzy Vimto you can buy in the shops, so it will come in handy when family visit with their kids. pop on tap at a fraction of the cost. No more carrying heavy bottles home and as an added bonus the machine looks great on my worktop.

Great purchase, can’t believe I waited so long…
I’ve been wanting a soda maker for ages, and I’m so glad I finally got this one—it’s everything I hoped for and more! The first thing that caught my attention was how sleek and modern it looks. It fits perfectly on my kitchen counter, and honestly, it’s so stylish it almost feels like a décor piece. What I really love is how simple it is to use. I’m not exactly a gadget person, but this soda maker is incredibly intuitive. I had it set up and making sparkling water in minutes, and now I use it almost every day. I love how I can control the fizz level—it’s as simple as pressing the button for a little longer if I want super fizzy water. And the bubbles? Amazing. They’re strong and last a long time, which I wasn’t expecting. I’ve even started experimenting with adding syrups and fruit flavors, and it’s made me feel like a bit of a mixologist! One of the best things about this machine is how it’s helped me cut back on buying bottled sparkling water. It feels great knowing I’m saving money and reducing waste. Plus, no more lugging heavy bottles home from the store! Honestly, I can’t imagine going back to life without this. It’s easy to use, looks great, and delivers perfect results every time. If you’re thinking about getting one, I can’t recommend it enough—it’s been such a fun and practical addition to my kitchen!

Turns still wine into sparkling - this is almost biblical..
I’ll admit it up front – I bought this machine as a present to make still wine into sparkling. I know it’s not the intended use but, well, you know… Firstly, setup is a cinch. The gas bottle just slips in – no screwing. The water bottle is just as easy, introduce it to the tippy bit at the front, push in so it’s upright and you’re ready. No effort. A few presses on the handle and you have fizzy water (for wine see below). Now you take that off, add some concentrate (not supplied) and you have your Pepsi, 7-UP or whatever. Note that ‘fizzing wine’ is not what the machine was designed for and I don’t want to promote excessive drinking but if you prefer sparkling to still, read on. Now, just in case you’re interested in wine… The ‘fill-line’ on the water bottle is technically 840ml, but empty a 750ml wine bottle in and it’s close enough. Press the handle down briefly to spurt some CO2 into the wine. Do this several times and you’ll see the main body of the wine get gassy and froth appear above the surface. Keep doing short bursts until the froth is about half way between the surface of the liquid and the top of the bottle. Then stand back and watch – it’s quite fascinating. First nothing much happens, then the gassiness in the liquid will slowly clear from the bottom while the froth rises a little further. Once it’s done this, the froth will start to burst and once it’s dropped an inch or so you can release the bottle and you’re done. The whole process takes maybe a minute and a half. Apparently, Champagne is made from Chardonnay grapes so you may like to consider this. Generally, though, choose a dryish white or rosé. Don’t expect perfect results every time – you’ll need to experiment (this is more fun than chemistry experiments at school). Bear in mind that, although the ABV of the wine won’t change, the absorption rate into your body will so it’ll affect you more quickly so be sensible. This is supposed to be a review of the machine and for that it’s a very good buy. There are cheaper versions available but the easy gas bottle replacement and easy water bottle attachment may well be worth the difference if you value convenience as I do.

Soda stream Art sparkling water maker.
My old one broke after 6 years & needed to replace it. Different method of inserting the cylinder. Much easier than previous soda stream. Easier to work & feel the water sparkling better.
